I enjoy the smallness office, and warm friendly service of Akiko.
Very rude staff. Today went in to return 2 items today and the male and female employees were both extremely rude and expressed an attitude. These 2 employees appeared to be very lazy and did not want to do their jobs and tend to the customers needs. Definitely will not go back to this location.
The Montalvo Post Office is the best in Ventura - at least as far as I'm concerned. They are always friendly & the wait time is minimal if any. They do their jobs quickly so if there is a line it usually goes pretty fast. The only bummer is the whole office including the PO Box area is closed on Sundays. I understand it used to be open all the time until some jerk probably homeless decided to use it as a restroom. That's just flat-out disgusting. Can't blame them for closing it!
The crew here is always very courteous and professional. I do a lot of online ordering and use my PO box quite a bit. I've done this for several years in three different cities: Long Beach - Marina Del Rey, and Ventura. This PO is without question, and far and away the best. You have to be pretty thin skinned, pampered, neurotic, or all three to take offense or feel inconvenienced by the service here.
Not an actual USPS center. Came in to do official usps business and woman told me I need to go to the bigger post office... guess they are just a cash register and drop off?!
I am having my mail forwarded. Can't renew PO Box online or over the internet. Options? Drive to the Post Office 3 hours away or lose all my mail. Thanks Post Office. There's a reason you are going out of business.
I needed to add my two cents when I saw how low the stars were for this little gem of a PO. If you want to gripe about the postal service fine but don't pick on this great find. A little hole in the wall of a post office that almost NEVER has lines and very helpful staff. It does not get any better that this. Shame on you you sourpusses.

Yes, there is usually a line. That is because they do not rush you, they are efficient but this is a busy office due to it's central Ventura location.
