The Montana Trial Lawyers (MTLA) is a member organization for Montana attorneys who represent the injured and those whose rights are jeopardized.
MTLA sponsors Montana's premier continuing legal education (CLE) seminars.
MTLA actively informs, educates and lobbies elected officials to preserve the civil jury trial system and on other issues of concern to its members and their clients.
MTLA provides support and services to enable its members to excel in their profession and in their service to their clients.
MTLA Statement of Purpose
To uphold and defend the constitutions of Montana and the United States;
To advance the science of jurisprudence;
To train in advocacy;
To promote the administration of justice for the public good;
To uphold the honor and dignity of the profession of the law;
To advance the cause of those who are damaged in person or property and who must seek redress;
To encourage cooperation among the members of the bar; and
To uphold and improve the adversary system and trial by jury.
