On May 20 I was in a car accident and taken to the ER. I was told several times by the police officer that he would get all of the information. I was not told how long it would take to get this information. Apparently, after many phone calls to get this information I was told that I had to wait on the police report. I did not need a formal police report. I just needed the name of the driver that hit me, his policy number, and license number. My insurance can get the report later if they needed it. My car was in storage for 3 days before I could even start the repair process because I did not have any of this information. I had no car and no access to a rent a car because the recovery/repair process can not start without at least a policy number. I had to bum rides to and from work. My insurance company even called and they would not give them any information which doesn’t make any sense. After many calls I found out that the officer would not be back to work until Wednesday evening 3 days later. I left a message, but no return call. I assume that this report is a formality but in order to start the recovery/repair process this vital information is needed earlier than waiting for the availability of a formal police report. Hopefully, this policy will be modified because it is not fair to the person that was injured and out of a car with no information to wait until someone comes back to work and has time to complete a report when the information is sitting there on someone’s desk. Never leave the scene of an accident until you get this information.
I would like to thank Sergeant John Arsenault and officer Hall. It was Saturday, December 7,2019 around 3:pm. I had a flat tire in the middle of the road and within a second these officers were there with a lug wrench in their hand. Even before I got my tire jack from the car, they already started working on my flat tire. rolling on the ground to put the tire jack under my car. Unbelievable. They helped out changing my tire in no time. I lived in Montgomery county for the last 22 years and I always like the Montgomery County police officers. Thank you so much Sgt.Arsenault and Officer Hall. Happy Holidays!!
It's hard to understand someone's idea and feeling. When I got hard time no one was there for me to help. Thank you to Office Sergeant Darren Miller Montgomery County I really appreciate your professional excellence and respectful manner. I appreciate being treated with respect and i think you do your job very well. Justice served! Best wish on your journey
The lady at the front desk has a terrible attitude. You never know what people are going through so to be so harsh off the back, even when I was being kind and simply explaining my version of the story. Especially when what you have to say does nothing to help the situation, is unnecessary. Simply get the officer and let him/her deal with it. Officer was much nicer. I was wrong in the situation and I know how to accept when I am wrong bujf i don't accept a unnecessary attitude.
I walked into this station after I got out of my work at around 3:30 or 4 in the morning to write a formal complaint about another officer from the police station in Wheaton and I asked to speak with the officer on duty. Sgt. D. Miller came out to speak with me. He was very professional and showed determination on solving my issue. He provided me with all the paperwork needed to file my formal complaint and took measures to contact the proper officials to inform them of the situation. I was contacted by the supervisor of the bad officer that same morning and although he was NOT as professional as Sgt. Miller, things now seem to be moving forward with my issue at least that's what I'm hoping for since the bad officer is from the Wheaton Station. I have to say that I did lose confidence in this department after dealing with the bad officer I filed the compliant for AND his supervisor, but the fact that Sgt. Miller took the matter seriously showed me that NOT All officers are the same. I chose this station because I had a previous experience with filing a police report and it was handled by a very professional female officer who got things done as well. So I have to thank ALL of the officers from the 3rd District for their excellent work!!
A BIG thumbs up for getting the people texting and driving. Most officers are not bad, don't confuse being direct and being held accountable for your actions as being rude! Most people need to take a good look at themselves before blaming the officers. We are our own worst enemies. Enough is enough, if you want change, start with yourself.
I called 3rd district for help in recovering my vehicle from a MileOne dealership on 12/31/18. OFC Mike Skidmore arrived promptly, listened to our situation and asked excellent questions to assess the situation. He escorted me and my husband into the dealership as we began the process of retrieving the car and as the service manager fidgeted to find my vehicle, OFC Skidmore advised us of our rights and next steps if the dealership was unable to produce the car. Officer remained on the scene as we inspected the car and signed paperwork releasing the vehicle. At all times Officer Skidmore was respectful, professional, and impartial. I cannot imagine the flack I would have received from the dealership had Police been absent. Thank you 3rd District & OFC Skidmore for your expertise and consummate professionalism in helping us retrieve our vehicle!!!
I am getting very tired of seeing Montgomery County police using the ICC as a speedway. Each of the last 4 times I have driven on the ICC after 10 PM, a cop car comes roaring by at EXCESSIVE speed, with no siren or emergency lights. This evening, at about 10 PM, a cop car went by so fast that it rocked my Chrysler 300. I drove up to 80 MPH in an attempt to get a license number and see how fast the cop was going, but he was continually pulling away from me, so I slowed down. I flashed my high beams, and he applied his brakes briefly, but continued on his high speed joy ride. THIS IMMATURE COP BEHAVIOR MUST STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could give this department ZERO STARS I would, but unfortunately that’s not an option. At approximately 1:25pm this afternoon MOCO police was involved in a high speed car chase that resulted in an accident with my vehicle that my mother and 7 year old cousin occupied. The car that was being chased by MOCO Police Department hit my mother and caused the car that she was driving to cross over the medium of Georgia Ave and face on going traffic. Bystanders had to urgently take my mother and my cousin out of my damaged car that started to smoke because the officers failed to go over and assist them because they were too occupied investigating the vehicle that hit the car that my mother and cousin occupied. MOCO Police Dept. WAITED 25 MINUTES BEFORE THEY WALKED OVER TO MY MOTHER AND COUSIN TO GET DETAILS OF THE ACCIDENT THAT WAS CAUSED DUE TO MOCO Police Dept. high speed chase. Bottom line is, my mother and 7 year old cousin did not feel protected OR SERVED after they were involved in car accident that was caused by MOCO Police Dept. high speed chase. When I walked over to the group of 6-7 officers that were too occupied with gathering evidence from the vehicle that struck the car that my mother and 7 year old cousin occupied, I was screamed at and over talked by Officer DeAngelo Graham #3065. Not once did any of the officers make my mother and 7 year old cousin safe. They were too concerned with the car that they were chasing THAT STRUCK MY CAR. Legal actions will be taken against MOCO Police Dept.
There was a female officer who responded to a domestic dispute. She was professional and able to sympathize with the victim, while diffusing the situation, unlike her male partner. He was extremely misogynistic and failed to be impartial. He sided with the aggressor and condoned violence as a reasonable reaction to resolve the dispute. I believe he was Mexican.
