The home of clinical services, disease investigation, and public health preparedness and response for Montgomery County, Texas
Our Clinical Services division provides childhood and adult immunizations, tuberculosis screening and treatment, HIV testing, and screening for and treatment of sexually transmitted diseases.
Our Epidemiology division coordinates disease surveillance and outbreak investigation in coordination with local health care providers, schools and other entities.
Our Public Health Preparedness division plans for and responds to public health emergencies caused by anything from bioterrorism attacks to disease outbreaks like H1N1 Influenza.
Montgomery County Public Health works hand in hand with local government, law enforcement, academic, medical and non-profit organizations to prepare for and respond to adverse events.
We promote community resilience by giving presentations, writing plans and training volunteers. Our staff members actively participate in training and exercises that enable us to collaborate with and learn from county representatives, other public health departments and emergency management officials from throughout Texas and the United States.
