The librarians are awesome and are so helpful. They loved helping my son open up his own library card! Now he happily comes home with 10 books and a HUGE smile on his face
Nice, quiet library and decorated very nicely! Computers are fast and useful if you want to find a certain book. Library is fairly new, so there isn't that vast of a selection, but nice nonetheless.
Extremely modern and clean vibrant library. Tons of study rooms, conference rooms. Lots of up-to-date tech here; extremely responsive touchscreen monitors for book search/checkout, 5k imacs with quad core/24gb ram, lots of 35w quad core windows machines with ssd's. Large outdoor balcony in the second floor with plenty of seats and tables. Every desk has electrical outlets to charge your electronics. There's so many varieties of seating options that you're guaranteed to be comfortable. Only downside is that there will be some loud children, but the study rooms will do a pretty good job muting out 20-30dB or so, bring headphones if want to shut out all noises for studying. Did I also mention the public wifi gets 150-200mbps down?
Nice new library. Plenty of open area and seating. Very helpful staff. Great environment.
Like a lot of the other negative reviews, it's very frustrating how loud it is every time I come here. Doesnt matter if a kid is screaming or adults having loud conversations, staff wont do anything about it. You should not have to complain in a library for staff to maintain a quiet environment.
The new Library is a great looking building. The Art of the "Word-Heads" outside the entrance are a nice touch. Inside the decor is top notch!
Great selection of books, nice sculptures outside and easy self check- out. Great meeting rooms upstairs and downstairs.
For some reason, an earlier review was posted regarding the YMCA at Bonner Springs, KS. The JoCo library system is top- notch.
We love this library. Clean and quiet, but not too quiet, and there's a great space for kids. They love being able to scan the books themselves at checkout!
Never take your young kids there. Staff won't let you take books nor read at the library. We were told not to touch books. That the books are not ours and we had to put them back. They were very rude with my eight year old daughter I've been to different libraries and this one is the worst service I've ever seen.
