Came in from out of town for Sunday brunch and we're greeted and seated promptly by the owner. Waitress was pleasant and attentive. Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was wonderful... I only wish I had dressed better. Beautiful diner that brought back memories of childhood diner breakfasts in PA with my family. Thank You for a 5 star experience! We Absolutely recommend this place!
Stopped in for a quick breakfast and ended up relaxing and having a few cocktails. We had some mimosas with our eggs. Speaking of eggs they have a wide range of Eggs Benedict. The classic was great along with the Avocado Benny. The western omelette was filled with nicely cooked peppers, onions and ham. Our server was lots of fun and the owners are great. Good place to eat and relax.
My husband and I were.visiting the area and happened upon a review for this diner. Our expectations were more than met! Our waiter Sergio was friendly, knowledgeable and always had coffee ready for me. My husband's waffle was light and airy and my Taylor ham and eggs was excellent. And, oh, the French fries are amazing! If we are ever back in the area, we will return!
Amazing service! Every server that worked there seem to serve with a smile and positive attitude! My bf and I also enjoyed the architecture. It had a very “home-y” feel. I ordered a pastrami sandwich with a side of fries. The fries are out of this world and have many different flavorings too. My bf and I will be returning soon.
Went there with family, on New year's day at 8pm. I ordered a Tuna Salad wrap, I asked the waiter Tony to add American cheese, didn't get American cheese in my Tuna Salad wrap, also there wasn't much Tuna in the wrap very little, the gave you a side of French fries, they were old and horrible burnt and disgusting my cousin Sherri wanted them she only ate 3 of the French fries the rest were thrown away. I couldn't take a picture due to being with family otherwise I would of. The Tuna Salad wrap was small and horrible and it costs $13.50. Very disappointed. The waiter Tony was very shaky meaning when he would bring you your beverages his hand was shaking very badly and almost spilt the beverages also when he brought the food my cousin Sherri wanted to help him, put her plate on the table he got upset and alittle nasty with her saying the plate is very hot with a nasty tone. Tony also would repeat himself saying things to us more than once, Thanks for coming tonight folks, Happy new year folks. Anyway the only thing that was good was the Raspberry ice tea. I'm sorry but I will not be coming back to the Montville Diner. This is my second worst experience there.
Food and atmosphere is decent but the waiting time for the meal is ridiculously long. Went here several times this month and it's always 30+ minutes for the food to arrive for our group of 10 people. The host is always the same polite friendly man. No complaints except for extremely slow service.
Very overpriced for what you get and I understand the price of goods as I am in the food industry for 40 years. I will not be back. If you follow me you know I typically only do positive reviews. I felt the need to share some negative here after being brushed off by the manager.Food: 1/5
Lunch special Ruben junior, fries, soup, dessert and drink. 13.50. Nice atmosphere, clean and professional staff, they appreciate you dining here. 24hrs restuarant with options.
Why did I order an extra thick milkshake but received chocolate water on top of that the home fries aren’t from home more like jail….where’s the seasoning the peppers and onions? The only thing I’ve had worth eating is the chocolate chip pancakes which are more chocolatey then my milkshake. I don’t waste food so I had to eat it smh
Waitress service was great! But The breakfast wasn’t that great, home fries hard and old, she offered me French fries and she brought almost the same thing, and very oily! I didn’t like that make sure you don’t order home fries!
