From the very beginning, Monty's Furniture started its reputation of quality, integrity, and satisfaction in the consignment business.

Originally located in Youngtown, the enduring emporium of quality used and new furniture and home decor started as Furniture Finds in 1960. In 1983, it were purchased by Monty. In her time running the business, she opened a second location in Peoria.

In 1989, Monty's won its first award as Sun City's Favorite!

Both locations eventually closed, and the consignment store finally settled in Sun City in the Grand Plaza. This location cemented the Monty's Furniture namesake. It was a big year for Monty's Furniture Finds, as the Post Office Substation had also been established, creating a continuously quirky and convenient landmark in the store.

At the dawn of the new Millennium in 2001, Monty's Furniture Finds became family owned and operated. The current owners, husband and wife team, Wyatt and Dione Karo have been involved in family owned businesses since they met in high school. They now run Monty's Furniture along with their children, choosing to keep the well known name of Monty's Furniture in lieu of its incredible history.

On suggestion, Monty's Furniture entered the digital age in 2014 with their Facebook page, which has allowed their fans to view new inventory as it enters the store from the convenience of home and smart phones!

2014 was a momentous year for Monty's. For the first time since 1989, Monty's was awarded with a reader's choice award in three categories!

These awards were thanks to the many loyal fans and followers of Monty's Furniture, whom voted for them in AzCentral's Best Reader's Choice competition every day!

Then, Monty's Furniture suffered a massive flood in November 2014. The devastation resulted in a month long renovation of the showroom, revealed in January 2015.

Monty's has had strong support from the public and its fans since day one. As a small, local business it was overwhelming and humbling to have won the reader's choice awards again in 2015. However, Monty's didn't just win three awards--they won 12!

In December 2017 the Post Office Sub Station officially closed. Monty's continues to set the standard of consigning and selling quality used furniture at exceptional prices with honesty and integrity.
