Very secluded, quiet and full of shade from the beautiful canopy of trees overhead. Seems like a serene place to visit during school hours; I imagine the boat ramp to the lake and swim area bring in a crowd on the weekends. Has a restroom and an outdoor area to rinse off from the lake beach area. This is a well kept and maintained park...you won't regret bringing the littles to play here; they'll love it too! Playground: No animals allowed. Restrooms: Not the cleanest, bring some toilet paper and sanitizer or soap. Picnic area: 2 shelters with tables and grills as well as a couple scattered picnic tables and grills throughout.
Very beautiful small park. It is a pity that it was closed before sunset. No animals allowed.
Sand is gorgeous, boat launch super perfect spot, water temp was great! There was seaweed in about half of the swimming area but more to the right and further out you go the less the seaweed. This is a PERFECT family spot! Lots of tables in shade and a playground.theres a bathroom building and there's also a place to rinse sand off your body and feet. Which is a MUST for our family since we have 4 little kids.
Some days there aren't a lot of people and it's absolutely serene. It's a very nice little park w water that you can swim in but only until certain time of year. They post a warning sign for your safety! Playground: It's nice but not really designed for small like 2-3 yrs old. The equipment can get hot, so be aware of this Restrooms: Bring paper! Picnic area: There are 2 covered pavilion w charcoal grills available for use. You can also bring your own I think.
I've been going here since birth, so my opinion is biased, butttt I absolutely love it here, it so serene compared to the rest of the neighborhood!
If you're planning on heading to this park, make sure you know the route before heading there. I think there were two signs referencing the park and neither were very descriptive. I stopped by there today during lunch to check it out and to escape from the office for a bit. It's nestled back in a residential area and was pretty quiet. There is a $2 parking fee with the pay box at the park entrance. The parking lot is a decent size and I think it's hidden well enough that parking shouldn't really be an issue. When you pull into the park you can either turn right to go to the parking lot or, if you have a boat, you can go straight to the boat ramp. There's also a floating dock/pier there to tie off while you park your trailer. The park itself is on the small side. Lots of Cyprus trees so I'm guessing this area gets pretty wet during a good rain. The grounds appeared to be very clean which was a plus. The playground equipment is a little dated but in fair shape. There are two large covered pavilions with charcoal grills. They looked to be in decent shape. The grills definitely look used so you might want to bring some heavy duty foil if you're planning on using them. To the left side of the park there's a bathroom as well with a few toilets. I can't speak for the women's side but the men's bathroom was pretty clean for a public park. The park borders the lake and there's a small beach with a roped off swimming area. With alligators being pretty prevalent in this area, I doubt I would put a toe in but there were people swimming. I also saw some people fishing just outside the swimming area. Overall it isn't a bad little lunch spot. It needs some work to really shine though so I'm not sure it's worth $2 access it. I might be back again if I need to get out of the office for a breather.
Nice park in the middle of nowhere. Boat ramp and a small lake with nobody on it.
Nice family park with a small childrens playground. The park has 2 pavilions where parties are often hosted and it has a workout area and a swing area. There’s a lake near the park that’s often filled with bacteria with a sign posted claiming do not swim. The park needs a little revamping so people don’t swim in the lake anymore and only go fishing. The park needs to take out the sandy beach area and replace it with a nice dock where families can go out and sit and watch the water just like how sims park has.
Very nice, clean little park on the lake. Did not go in water but there is a sandy little beach there. Nice pavilions for lunch, but no animals allowed.
I like going there for sunsets
