I have no words to describe how thankful I am for the Moore family. The kindness, compassion, and sincere patience they have shown me are so appreciated. To say that these gentlemen went above and beyond would be such an understatement. My family has relied on Moore Funeral Home for generations and I could not be more grateful for them. My mother in law passed August 5th, I waited to write this review to gain some clarity and make sure I was not overcome with grief. The truth is, if I could give this place 0 stars, I would - my feelings have not changed.To take advantage of people losing their loved ones in the time of a pandemic is sickening. Where do I start... My wife's mom passed unexpectedly in her apartment. We called Moore's funeral home at the recommendation of a friend and our oldest daughter had gone to school with one of the Moores daughters. During the phone call, while my wife's mom was still laying in her apartment they had the nerve to ask about funeral packages. Luckily the policeman stayed with us during this time and jumped in grabbing the phone saying "she just lost her mom, can she call you about this tomorrow?" - that was the first issue. They stated that cremation was 1200. Of course we were not thinking anything about this because we were all in shock. A few days later we met with the funeral director. My wife's mom did not leave much so we set up a gofundme fundraiser to help with expenses. When we sat down the expenses started adding up. $1900 "overhead costs", $475 for "transportation", $400 something for refrigeration etc. All in all we paid about $3,000 dollars, No funeral services included. It did include a small intimate viewing for our kids so they could see their grandmother one last time and say goodbye before she was cremated. The obituary was not posted for SEVERAL days. There were obituaries posted of people who passed after her, we had to call several times and bug them to even get the obituary posted. Now we move onto the funeral. The funeral director pushed us to have the funeral at his wife's church to save money and we agreed. The church was hot and stuffy it was august. The flowers from the link on the funeral site that our loved ones purchased were not there. The funeral directors wife apologized several times stating there was an issue with the link and they would deliver the flowers to our home. Unbelievable, we did not even have our flowers that were paid for. Matter of fact, they did not know where the flowers were for some time. They thought maybe they were sent to the funeral home... After all was said and done I thought "wow, 3,000 dollars for a small viewing and cremation seems expensive. None of us have ever been solely responsible for taking care if a loved ones end of life expenses before so we really did not know but it seemed off to me. I called Moores and spoke to one of the Moores as if I was getting ready to have a loved one pass and got a breakdown of expenses and they added up to be about 1,000 dollars LESS than what we paid. $1200 for cremation, transportation should be free she was less than 10 minutes form the home, refrigeration and the small viewing. All added up to about 2 thousand dollars and we paid 3 thousand. With a gofundme from our friends and family. I feel as though we were taken advantage of during a pandemic while losing a loved one. I learned a valuable lesson here. With the extra 1,000 dollars we could've had a much nicer service. Nothing will bring our loved one back but this whole organization seems desensitized by loss. Maybe that is it, I will never know but I promise I will never use Moore's again. Rest in Peace Donna Block, we love and miss you terribly.

My son passed away suddenly and all of a sudden I was calling funeral homes. Never did I expect to be doing something like this. I called 5 funeral homes. Moore was by far the most helpful and kind. I found their pricing to be more than fair. I called them many times with different questions and requests. Each time they were understanding and filled any and all requests without hesitation. Thank you Moore for making such a terrible point in my life a bit easier.

I can not thank Moore family for the help and support of my husband Don funeral it was so awesome my heart is overflowing with joy for all the little extras I know it is natural for them but was just mine blowing to me to make it so special I thank them from the bottom of my heart and treasure them in heart live and thanks again
