Nice place ro play tennis. Courts were empty and well maintained.
They have lots of tennis courts here but need to be upgraded. Last time I I was there the night lights were not working I do not know if that has changed.
10 all new Pickle Ball courts! Most people play each morning..8:30 on but Tue/Thur/Sat 8-11 is most popular. There are some chairs and benches and a board with the latest information. People are friendly and all levels of play. Great place to play PB!
I don't personally play tennis but it is cool to watch those that do. The courts are often being used by what seems to be a tennis club. Very fun to watch them compete.
Fields are horrible with gofer holes everywhere grass is completly dry like it hasn't been watered since it rained. Softball fields are not even safe to play on either, holes and no maintenance any where. Tennis courts and basketball courts are only thing in some what good shape. Was a great park to play at but has been years since then. To bad great location
Six tennis courts. Five pickleball courts, now with permanent nets. Local group has open sessions at 8:00-10:00 AM on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. All the courts are in great condition. The park also has a small playground, 2 basketball courts, bathrooms and free parking
Used in the individual competitions for community college tennis as part of quarter ifications for the 119 year old Ojai tournament. I am a tennis coach for men's tennis at Foothill College. Very nice facilities in a lovely setting.
Don't know what the other reviewer was talking about with the whole 'drugs and gangs' thing or why it wouldn't let me review the whole park instead of just the tennis complex. We just moved here from a very safe location in military housing at our previous home, and I felt perfectly safe. We didn't see any sign of gangs or drugs. We took our two-year-old mid-morning and found: Pros: -Lots of friendly folks out playing tennis -People walking dogs and riding bikes along the paved path that runs through the park and most of that side of the town -Other young kids, including two incredibly polite little girls who asked very nicely for a turn next on the swings -Enclosed playground with separate areas for toddlers and older kids my daughter used both and enjoyed both, with wood chips, and rubber mats in some places -Brand new seats on the swings, clearly just replaced -A pretty creek with lots of ducks and other waterfowl, with bridges to cross into the park -A nice open grass field for playing or sitting to read a book -A snack bar that looks like it's open for special events or maybe summers/weekends but definitely not a weekday morning -Well-kept tennis courts Cons: -Graffiti, some of it 'naughty'. This isn't usually present from gangs, just obnoxious teenage boys with nothing better to do late at night. Definitely not the worst I've seen. -Stagnant water smell from some low parts of the creek, which hopefully gets better with more rain. Can only smell when right next to the creek. I will be bringing my little girl and our dog here often!
