More Than A Gym provides physical, occupational and speech therapy, sensory gym and group motor classes for children with special needs.
The number one goal behind More Than A Gym is to see your child experience what all children are entitled to...enjoy a fun and active life that is filled with excitement, self-confidence, and love. The classes and activities have been adapted for children with developmental delays in order to allow for ultimate success.
More Than A Gym was founded by a Doctor of Physical Therapy with a vast experience in various settings. Working with children with disabilities for many years, she became inspired with how well they performed when grouped together properly, rather than just working one-to-one with an adult. She began to use strategic groupings of kids in order to encourage greater "play" during tasks and communication naturally began to evolve, as well as their motor skills. After years of phenomenal results and honing in to master this skill set, she is eager to utilize this methodology to improve the lives of as many kids as possible.
More Than A Gym is offering one-to-one physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, sensory gym and gross motor group classes (including: general conditioning, sports training, dance, music, art, yoga, martial arts, etc.).
