What can I say about Moretti's in EP? Well, I grew up in Edison Park and have been coming to this Moretti's location since I was in junior high. It has always been a staple for FUN, friend and family gatherings, and a joyful atmosphere, and I was so happy to return recently and see that had not changed. : I brought my parents to dinner at Moretti's and we had an incredible experience. The patio was lovely, the food was phenomenal even for a picky vegan like me!, drinks were tasty, and they even had live music playing. It made for a perfect summer evening! I ordered a salad, the vegan pizza, and my mom got calamari and pasta. Everything tasted fresh, and I was honestly so happy to see how they had adapted to have lots of great veggie options. The wait staff was also incredibly kind, and the manager was very welcoming. A+ experience, we'll definitely be back
Would give it 0 stars if I could. Edit review/update at the end My husband placed an order for a pizza that was supposed to be half cheese and half stuffed jalapeño. We specified online that we did not want tomatoes, bacon, and sausage. We also notated that we did not want our pizza cut due to dietary restrictions as we do not consume any pork products. My husband brings the pizza home and when we open up the box, sure enough the pizza is cut and there are large chunks of sausage all over. We immediately called the restaurant and spoke to the manager who expressed absolutely no concern for the matter. Didn’t apologize ONCE. He asks me which option I want and that is either to deliver another pizza or get a refund. We opted for the first option granted our experience was terrible but our kids were hungry so we just went with it. He claimed that all his drivers were available and that he was going to have a pizza sent out in “20-25” minutes. My call log states that the call was made at 8:29 PM and the pizza was delivered at 9:14! But wait, our disgusting experience doesn’t end there. we cut into the pizza and guess what there is? CHUNKS OF SAUSAGE. let me add that when I spoke to this sad excuse of a manager, I had to repeat my order twice to him so he can “make sure he gets it right.” Absolutely disgusting. Will never return to this horrible restaurant. We called Morettis 6 times because their hours stated that they were open until 10 PM. My husband decides to drive over with tbr pizzas and when we get to the restaurant, it was closed. After knocking on the door; a woman had nothing to do it but she apologized opens the doorand tells him that the restaurant is closed but my husband insisted he speak to the same manager mentioned above. Manager comes out and said that he specifically told the kitchen the order and that he’s going “to chew them out.” He insincerely apologized and literally did not care. He stated “I will reimburse you but can’t do anything else because my kitchen is closed.” Husband mentioned that it had been a 3 hour ordeal and that two young kids have also been waiting as patiently as they could for the pizza and the end result was disgusting customer service and 2 wrong pizzas. He clearly wanted to just go home and tried to please my husband by saying the next meal was on the house. Yeah, thanks but no thanks. We will not be returning.
Worst dining experience. I ordered a Titos mule with peach and they brought it out in a cup that made absolutely no sense for the size of a cocktail, photo attached for reference. They wanted to charge 12$ for that. This was made by the indoor bartender and I had asked the outdoor bartender is that seemed right. I've attached photos of the actual difference of size. You can see how different it is. I also ordered a burger on a gluten free bun. When it came out, the bun seemed a little odd. Sure enough, served on a regular bun. Rather than offer to remake the burger, the server offered to just bring me the bun only. I was already fed up at point. I also ordered it medium rare and of course it was well done. I will not come back to this establishment or recommend it to anyone.
I visited during the summer at the Edison Park location and loved sitting on the huge patio! We got cocktails to start which were about $7 cheap for chicago and half off apps for happy hour. They have a huge menu so it was hard to choose , but everything was delicious especially the spinach artichoke dip and the pizza which is super popular was great too. Crispy crust which I like! Service was good, the patio was very family friendly so a great restaurant to bring kids. The dinner portions were fair, overall a solid spot to visit for the price very affordable. I'd recommend. :
We went early afternoon and there were maybe 10 people in the place. But it really filled up as we finished. Food was very good and just a little different than the usual Italian staples.Food: 5/5
I say it was ok because it just lacked luster, mediocre service and my soup was way too salty. Looked appetizing but fell flat because it was inundated with sodium. The calamari & shrimp needed some seasoning. And the calamari wasn't fried long enough. My cocktail wasn't very good either, it tasted like cough syrup. If I go back it will be for the broasted chicken.
Italian is always my go to comfort food! And Moretti’s made our experience so unique, and it was the live music Thursday night at the Edison park location, and it is until 10pm at late night! . Unique Mac&Cheese pizza, yup you heard it right, and short rib raviolis, Buffalo chicken pizza and mozzarella cheese sticks! Such a great place for group outing! Live music with large space dancing and moving! You will love it with friends!
First time here.. Very good food... the cheesy garlic bread was like no other!! The best I've ever had!! Soo good .. plenty of seating space! Also place is huge. It has 3 bar areas, main restaurant and event rooms. Staff were very attentive..ty Angelo!! One of my favorite restaurants. We have lots of family gatherings here. Great food and friendly staff. My last few visits I had a few issues but when addressed it was immediately taken care of. Top notch customer service. Steve the manager is awesome! Definitely always make my way back. Thanks Moretti's!Food: 4/5
Moretti’s is family-friendly and has delicious food! Their patio space is huge & perfect for outdoor summer dining! They have great daily specials, too! It’s in such a cute area, right next to the Metra stop! I love that it is a local, family-owned restaurant! Definitely try the cheesy pull apart bread!
