Here you will be introduced to David's work at Morneau Family Law Solutions.
“Having been involved with litigation for 16 years, I would be lying if I didn’t tell you it drained me both emotionally and mentally. I felt as if I worked endless hours being absorbed in the battle of litigation; it was never about resolving, it was always about winning. One day I finally decided to draw the line in the sand. That is when I realized it was time to change my ways, to do it in the collaborative way, to do it right.”
Morneau Family Solutions has a wide range of services to offer. Practicing as a family lawyer, David M. Morneau Jr. is also a collaborative legal professional and a mediator. He began practicing in 1999 and was collaboratively trained in 2003.
Thus far, he has worked in every facet of law; the parent’s counsel, contract counsel for the Children’s Aid Society, counsel for the Family Responsibility Office and agent for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.
David is a sole practitioner who highly believes in the practice of collaborative family law. His belief revolves around a more holistic and restorative approach, rather than the “traditional” adversarial litigation system.
David continues to represent children only in litigation cases, as he believes this helps putting things into perspective and pointing people in the right direction to start becoming emotionally healthy again.
