General Information: Crystal Zelman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, having received her Masters in Social Work at Rutgers University. She is a Registered Play Therapist, with a focus on working with children, families and adults. She is also a Certified Child Life Specialist, having worked with children who have a family member with cancer for 9 years. Crystal has a solid foundation in Early Intervention, having worked with children ages birth to 3 with developmental delays for over 10 years. Crystal is play therapist at heart, and by training. Her office is an inviting and playful space where new clients can connect through play, art, sand tray, puppets or words through talk. She also offers a variety of holistic approaches including meditation, yoga and Reiki. Crystal consciously chooses to be client-centered, whenever possible, allowing children and adults to lead and guide their work together. She believes empowering parents to feel confident practicing strategies they can use at home with their children is important. Crystal Also has a strong background and interest in supporting both children and adults through grief, helping them discover a new normal.
