Regular post office. Convenient location. Not to crowded but always long waiting in line. It's challenging to find parking spot sometimes because there are many businesses around. This place have a lot of P.O. Boxes to rent. As other people mentioned about mail hold it happened to me as well. My mail was being delivered for two weeks while on vacation although I've requested to hold it. Thankfully my neighbor noticed full box and took care of it.
Horribly rude employees. Tries to give me back my slip that was left at my home while yelling at me that it wasn't filled out with information needed by the postal delivery person. How is this my fault or issue? Don't even know why this would be something to discuss with a customer. Apparently runs off rules that no other post office in nj enforces. Enjoys doing anything they can to make your trip as difficult as possible. Unless forced definitely recommend going elsewhere.
An absolutely horrible post office. We've lived here for 4 years and 6 times they've screwed things up. Left packages in the street, in the driveway in the rain, claimed items were delivered that never were, and regularly delivering mail that isn't ours. They turn over the mailmen/women so frequently you can't get to know a single one so as to avoid issues. They are horrible. Today I was told "I don't know what to tell you. It says it was delivered." I've tried filing a claim and complaint but naturally the USPS site doesn't work either.
This is my post office of choice for a number of reasons. First they are open later than the other local offices and in my experience their lines are always a lot shorter than the other 2 offices that are closest to me Cedar Knolls and Morris Plains. The lobby area is old but spacious and everyone that I have dealt with in the office is always extremely nice and helpful. Again, I am comparing with Cedar Knolls and Morris Plains, both have lines out the door and their customer service people are not terribly warm. Perhaps I would have a different opinion if they were delivering my mail but as far as dropping off packages and mail they have been great.
We had a great experience here getting passports for a family of 5. Teddy was the clerk who helped us and she was super pleasant and made a depressingly expensive trip to Morristown as fun as could be! She knew what she was doing and we had some laughs along the way. Only issue is the camera isn't working there so bring your photos! USPS needs to update their system to reflect this change until the camera is fixed.
The level of incompetence at this post office is beyond belief. Mail is consistently delivered when on hood and the mail which is held if frequency lost. The problems have been ongoing for years
If you have ever wondered why the USPS has lost $70 Billion in the last 11 years than look no further than the 166 Ridgedale Ave USPS location. The absolute lack of human decency, the wildly unjustified sense of self importance, the incredibly rude and off putting employees, it goes on and on. The next time I see one of those vainglorious USPS commercial on TV I will do my best to think about all the hard working men and women who work tirelessly to deliver the mail rather than the employees at 166 Ridgedale Ave who have broken my faith in humanity.
Despite calling and getting a service request number to have a package delivered to the back of my house where my driveway is connected to a side street, they refused to drop it there saying it was "unsafe". However the back of my house is far more secure for a package than my front porch. A completely horrible experience.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Rude, nasty, unprofessional, yelling at me, talking to me very aggressively and accusing me of being loud and rude with them when I was not. Kept calling me mam and then talked over me so she kept repeating her answer to a question I wasn't even asking. Couldn't hear what I was trying to say because she just wouldn't stop. Telling other people there that she is "done" with me. Completely unacceptable. Do not call there. Terrible..
I am expecting an item that was going to be delivered today that I ordered Via eBay and all day today I am waiting for it to be sitting on my porch, and it never showed up as if I never ordered any to begin with. The Mail delivery truck drivers need to be held accountable for their lack of navigation and failure to deliver customer’s packages on the right day on time.
