Beautiful campground. Run by a family that puts their heart & soul into the facility and it shows. Big rig friendly & many Amenities. Clean & friendly. Im kind of sad we have to leave.Service: 5/5
Been camping here as a seasonal camper starting 3rd season and find everyone very helpful and friendly. We have family come in some weekends from out of town and staff has always been great to them as well.
Before we get into the good stuff, we were very thankful they allowed my friend to park her truck in the spot meant for the vacant cabin next to ours, since there is only one provided spot for a vehicle per cabin. That being said, I give it one star because the campground was nice, and well kept. If it was based on just how the people and camp hosts were; I’d give it zero stars. For context; I’m 20, my boyfriend is 20, my brother who is 23, my best friend who is 21 and our friend who is 17 all rented one of the cabins this weekend Aug. 12th-14th just for a little getaway. The camp hosts and people in general were VERY unwelcoming. Now, this campground is a family oriented space, so I could see how they thought a group of young adults could cause some disruptance. However, we caused no issues and were simply minding our business trying to have a good weekend. We noticed as soon as we arrived, we were being watched by campers near us, in which had realized these were the camp hosts/seasonal campers that more than likely; run Morwood. Not even a couple hours after we got settled, a police officer was called to our cabin site, in which the officer had asked for our ID’s. Not an issue, right? After said police officer left, it was nothing short of an uncomfortable environment for us. Every 45 minutes to an hour it had felt like: a worker or someone who manages the campground was driving by our campsite, watching what we were doing. They didn’t do this to anyone else’s campsite, and mostly hovered over the area in which we were in. Mind you, we were the only group who seemed we weren’t over 25, and we didn’t have kids. We also had decided to go to the community pool facility they offered; and yet again there were individuals who had worked there, seemingly watching my groups every move. Anything we did seemed to make them angry, and they were waiting for us to do something we weren’t supposed to do. When I say watching, I mean to the point every time we looked over; we made eye contact. It was EXTREMELY uncomfortable and we felt we couldn’t do anything without being watched like a Hawk. Would NEVER recommend going here and personally will never be coming back.
Drove through to check out. Kind of a neat private camp ground.
Nice place however camping at the end of the year you feel like you are getting really screwed. Everything is closed down yet the price is still almost $40 a night. They even still charge extra for mini golf when there is no crafts, no hayride, no pool, none of it. Could lower the prices or at least offer the golf at no charge.
This is our first time camping at Morwood, we rented a cabin this time for convenience. We will definitely come back, hopefully with our camper next time. Everyone I have encountered while walking or even others walking by while I relax by the campfire, have been very nice and friendly. Very thankful for the wonderful lady across the road from our little cabin, that gave me 2 coffee cups to use for the weekend, as I forgot to pack them. All in all, beautiful place!
Stayed here 2 times in 2021. Was planning on staying again this year but had an event come onto our calendar suddenly that forced us to cancel our trip. When I called into the office I was told you can't cancel but you can find someone to take your spot or you can switch dates. After days of looking for someone to take my spot I finally found someone on a local Facebook page. The office manager found my Facebook post and stated that they had filled my spot and I was not authorized to give my spot to someone. I called in and explained that was not what was communicated and was told that everyone that works there knows the policy so I must be wrong they also started to blare music halfway through the conversation into the phone. The manager wrote on the Facebook page "I can assure you who you spoke with told you this information. I am sorry if you misunderstood but you can always refer to our website that is kept updated for any of our rules and regulations", I guarantee that I didn't misunderstand what was told to me in a 2 minute conversation. Instead of apologizing the manager is placing all blame on a customer. Be careful when staying here, you clearly need to confirm the details the staff tells you on the phone with their website or they will sell your site and publicly ridicule you for being the guilty party instead of taking blame themselves.
Well I can't say enough or give enough praise to Ray and his staff. we went through one of the worst storms I think I have ever been in. We had a tree fall on the motor home and my wife fell in the motor Home breaking her tibia where she landed up needing surgery. While we were expected to leave the 10th of September things got changed up due to all that happened and the park was quick to accommodate us and our needs. If you are ever in the Hazelton area and need a park to stay at this would be the one to choose. When choosing a star rating for this park I could only give them a 5 but they deserve a 10. Thank you Ray and staff for all your help and kind words.
Good camping ground. Has a pool and playground for kidsRooms: 4/5
Camp grounds and pool are clean very well maintained. No loud partying so if that's what you want this isn't the place for you. All the Staff are very helpful a great place for families.
