Well, seeing the amount of reviews here, it's clear the owner knows there are issues...and they don't seem to care because nothing has changed. And I say this as a regular customer of Motel 6. Generally, they're affordable options for long road trips with plenty of availability...an easy option for days I'm driving as far as possible and just need to sleep. And bonus, they allow pets without crazy fees. I have a pretty realistic expectation of what budget motels look like. They're not fancy. But this. This was just sad. There was no microwave or fridge. The door to the room could "close" but there was enough space for light to get in along with all the road noise from the interstate. The non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The walls were super thin. I could hear everything from other rooms. The bathroom wasn't great. I skipped showering because the tub was either super degraded, moldy, or dirty...couldn't tell and didn't want to get close enough to figure it out. Oh, and the fan in the bathroom would just come on randomly. I would turn it off, and five minutes later it was running. Towels were kind grungy. In the end, I slept on top of the bed with my own pillow and blankets. It wasn't a restful sleep. Long story short, if you're in Blue Springs and have to stop...stop elsewhere.
They require a $50 deposit. It doesn't matter if you use cash or card. The bathroom was ridiculous and the area isn't to safe. Just watch your back and be careful about your deposit. If you are checking out and the room is in your husband's name but the wife checks out, they will only give the deposit back to whoever the room's name is in. I would give it 0 but had to give it 1 to post my review. Rooms: The bathroom and shower was a joke. The tub needs to be chucked out the door . Safety: Watch your back and lookout for people just sitting on the stairs.
So the staff was very friendly and helpful and no issues with Artemis or Brutus however the room not that great.. no soap at all so if you didn't have your own guess you was S.O.L. granted probably could of called and asked office shouldn't of need to is the point... towels you got 1 large, washcloth, and 2 hand towels.. Normally that's not a big deal to me.. then you add in everything else walls look like was fighting black mold and overall just unclean everywhere you look... Will not be stopping there again
WORST motel imaginable. Owners are scam artists!! triple charged for pet fee and yet denied deposit checking out due to DOG HAIR on floor. Upcharged almost daily on rates without being notified. Reluctantly sought refuge here due to a moving/lease gap ... and after inquiring about triple charges and rate upcharges we were told if we didn't like it to leave immediately and threatened to call police. Unbelievable. Us and our DOG were stranded with a broke down car during a severe heat advisory 110° heat and they couldn't give a reason why! the middle eastern man and wife are stingy and inhumane. We paid them over $2k throughout our cpl week stay and for a motel with ROACHES and filthy smelly rooms youd think they might be more flexible SMH ‼DO NOT STAY HERE appalling management WILL TAKE YOU FOR YOUR MONEY BE CAREFUL
After reading the reviews I was hesitant but I’m glad I went ahead a booked the room the staff was very nice the room was very nice and clean I liked that there were cameras on the property I felt very safe would recommend and will stay there again I stayed in a standard king size bed room non smokingRooms: 5/5
A roach covered cesspool made only worse by overzealous racist management. My brother came to pick us up after waiting in the line for 3 minutes, management came out and harassed him to leave. I cannot overstate the accuracy of the 3 minutes. My brother who drives a 2023 model vehicle was not even allowed to sit and pick us up from a room where we found cockroaches within 2 hours of being here. Do not stay here unless you want to have a bad time.
Tom Bodett needs to turn the lights off on this place! All I ask is a clean bed and shower. I don’t have 5-star expectations of Motel 6, but this may be the worst “get off the highway” choice I have made in a long time. The towels were stained I will hope they were at least washed. The mirror broken with the sharp edge exposed, poorly patched hole in bathroom door, rust, non-functional vent coming out of the lowered bath ceiling.. Just pay $10 more and stay at the La Quinta next door!
This was the absolute worst hotel that I've ever visited! The hotel staff were very rude and condescending! The room they gave me was disgusting and unsanitary. I could write a book about how nasty this room was but I have a life to live. Don't go here or you're going to be disappointed. I promise!
No fridge. No microwave. No cable, only broadcast. The walls were covered in finger marks obviously haven't been wiped down ever. I've done the whole broke road trip thing for a long time and this was by far the worse motel I've ever stayed in. It wasn't even the cheapest. I'll stick to Choice hotels for a while. The fact that motel 6 corporate would allow a franchisee like this to keep their name on the building blows my mind.
