Roaches! No hot water! Non smoking room had cigarette burns on bedspread and smelled horrible. No extra pillows. Please avoid this location
It isn't a Motel 6 anymore, it is now the Hotel Salina. It is a budget conscious motel and that needs to be considered when booking. The front desk manager was a gem though. She was super gracious, helped to rapidly resolve an issue with the electronic door lock, and had us checked in early. It was very well lit at night, easy access off/on to the interstate, plenty of walkable food choices. The food businesses in the area were really good. The rooms are a little rough, but they are actively fixing the place up. It has a small dog run for potty breaks.
Manager was unfriendly, even scolding me as, while my wife went to check us out, that I had the audacity to walk my dog on her ratty front lawn instead of using the dog area. We weren't there for it to do its business, we were just walking until my wife finished check out. We won't return, but get a manager with better customer relations.
It was so DIRTY. We had to go buy Cleaning supplies. we used one rag and one towel. the night manager said it was OK and apologized for the state of the room. At checkout she said her name was "Stephanie" but as they don't dress in professional attire or have name tags its hard to say. She was an islander woman is now Charging me for not wanting my 10 month old baby in a filthy unit. There was Cat food behind the fridge. Blood on the mattress. Bathtub falling a part and hair in it. I have photos of it all. people yelling screaming and pounding ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT. I am a manager of 3 Extended stays in Arizona and this place is ready to be condemned calling code enforcement because yuck yuck yuck. I don't complain. I cleaned because my standard is higher then theirs and that's fine but to charge me for YOUR negligence is laughable
The person in the front office was very nice, friendly. The room was another story, the towels, were so old and stained we got our are beach towels out of the car to dry our self off. We had one wash cloth, one bar of soap, for 3 people. Oh then my granddaughter pulled her bed back and the sheets had stains on them. I will never stay at another Motel 6, it was not the money it was the convenience of it. The furniture is something they got out of a garage sale. I just believe what we stayed in last night my 6 year old granddaughter said this is filthy .
A few words to best describe this place Brown water, yellow stained sheets, dirty floors, mystery stains on the walls. My family and I checked in and within 5 mins of us getting into our room the phone rang and it was the front desk worker telling us we needed to keep it down and be considerate because the person under is called and complained about the noise. To top it all off the toilet in our room also wasn't working so we had to call for the maintenance person so come fix it. This is one of the worst Motels I've ever had the displeasure of staying at.
I submit this review so owners and managers are aware of conditions. This is not meant to be a public slam. Briefly, our towels were FILTHY. I mean stained and unusable, as in not laundered. Is that possible? The front desk lady did her best to correct the situation, thank you, and brought us a new batch of towels directly to our room. Despite her kind effort, the new batch was still not much better. I happened to have towels in my SUV for our trip and we used those towels. Then... Woke up to a little critter crawling on me while I was in bed. A German cockroach, to be exact. The front desk staff handled the situation as best they could and was to my satisfaction. Thank you, again. I understand how difficult it is to run a business, believe me. I write these comments with that understanding and for your being apprised of what's going on. Thanks. p.s. After 3 room changes finally got one that was somewhat ok. The motel is old, rooms are ugly. Towels and sheets disgusting. Old, ripped and dingy. The drapes had holes and the bedspread was old and had holes. We didn't use the pillows and wouldn't want to. Floors dirty. Walls are dirty and stained. You could see outside around the door jam which also let the flies inside. Not a pleasant experience. Never stay there again and recommend no one else should either until they clean up the rooms. Non smoking rooms have been smoked in and smell disgusting.
My previous review was pulled from Google, so I'm toning it down in hopes of ensuring that patrons of this hotel make a knowledgeable choice. I did not enjoy my stay at this location. I don't understand how it is allowed to bare this hotel chain's name. The floor was dirty, the bed had not bedspread and visible stains on the sheets. I sat up all night and watched movies on my tablet because I did not feel comfortable laying down in the bed. The shower was stained with mildew and quite dirty. The fixtures in the shower and sink were barely functional, the towels were rough, discolored,, and of poor quality. The room smell as though a chain smoker had stayed there and we were under someone who blasted the tv and banged around until 3AM. There were odd sounds from the window area and the heat didn't work, so I stayed dressed and layered up in order to stay warm. I neglected to mention in my prior review that the tv in our particular room didn't work. I should have taken pictures, but as other reviewers have mentioned, this location does not look like the pictures the hotel has provided. The one patron picture I saw of the simplistic desk area was accurate. This location is cheap and affordable, but it does not live up to the standard one would expect from Motel 6.
The absolute worst Motel 6 I have ever been to completely rundown, no microwave and refrigerator as described in room so now the food I just bought is going to spoil, also no towels, lamps. Walls and doors filthy. Pictures of rooms are VERY deceptive. I'm about to ask for a refund. I have not even spent the night yet. The only positive thing so far is the early check in and my favorite chicken place is next door.
