The pump I pulled up to was not available. It had a yellow bag over the pump handle that couldn't be seen until until after pulling into the pump lane. I feel there should have been an orange cone placed in the lane. I literally always buy my fuel at the Riverview store. This little 'blip' won't stop me from being their customer by any means.
I stopped in specifically to use the bathroom I was on my way to QuikTrip and thought oh wow that's a good clean nice looking Moto Mart I went in the women's bathroom there was pee all over one seat there was toilet paper all over the floors the handicap bathroom had no toilet paper then washed my hands I didn't want to use the dryer by then I was disgusted and just wanted to get out I walked up to the man behind the counter and ask him if he had some paper towels and he said there's some napkins on the table rude and not clean at all not friendly no personality I will never come here again much less probably any MotoMart
Tried using cash app card at pump and it attempted to put a $120 hold on my card which was declined due to insufficient funds, and didn't authorize the pump. Worst part it actually took the $20 I had on my card and I was never able to get gas or anything. Pretty much stole $20 from me and now I've been going back and forth with Motomart and Cash App to get the money back but still haven't gotten my refund it's been 5 days. $20 may not seem much, but to me and my family every dime is important so this has been a horrible issue that I wish I could've avoided.
Clean for it being a busy convenient store and being a filling station at the Missouri and Illinois border line.
Didn't have my kind of cigarettes but a nice selection though
Not sure what's up with the pan handlers that frequent this place. I live close by so I fill up 75% of the time at this station. It's always some sob story on how they are almost out of gas and how his pregnant wife needs to get to a doctor appointment, bla bla bla..... or a cute girl with a sob story only to see that the car she gravitates back towards after asking for money usually has some hoosier guys sitting in the car. Don't have your wallet anywhere in site. As soon as I see them approach I tell them I can't help and just stop them before they go into their spiel. I simply tell them that I'm hounded almost every time I stop there and that even if their story is legit I can't help due to the amount of fraud I've experience. They simple say thanks and walk away realizing they aren't getting a penny from me. 90% of the time it's a white guy or girl. UPDATE 12/18/21 - I haven't noticed any problems with the pan handlers in the last 6 months. They must have found a way to run them off. Also, the workers inside are getting better. Friendly. Gained 1 star back.
While traveling across country we decided to stop and fill up with gas and grab a quick bite to eat at the attached Subway Restaurant. Since this was the first chance to stop inside of Missouri, we figured we could look for souvenirs or post cards which they didn't have I could tell almost immediately that it wasn't a good place to be. Abandoned cars along the on and off ramps that were probably stolen, people asking for money at the gas station, unfriendly staff, and a sheriff's deputy stationed inside the store and it was still daylight all kind of confirmed that this was not a good area. After getting my meal at Subway, we were sitting at the outdoor tables eating, and a very nice local lady apparently recognized we weren't from around there, because she stopped to talk to us and inform us that it wasn't a good place. We talked for about 20 minutes and she told us all about the history of the area and how it's getting worse, and how the Ferguson Riots happened just a few miles down the road. This and the nearby areas had a very high police presence leading me to believe that it is a high crime area as the local woman warned us, and an area that is just better off avoided if possible.
The absolute rudest people I've ever dealt with. I left and went back across the river to Illinois.
This had been my main stop for gas over the years driving back and forth between MO and IL for work and school. This has never been a particularly safe area in general, but the gas station is well kept and there’s lots of traffic. I told myself over the last year I’d stop coming here cause the beggars were getting out of control, but I kept coming. Then on the news there was the guy that shot his girlfriend to death in the parking lot, but I kept coming. The last straw for me was when I called the police to report a bullet hole ridden car that was blocking the turn lane coming into the station. Yeah, I get my gas in West County by my job now. I decided that stopping in this area, even for a few minutes to get gas, wasn’t worth the risk.
Staff is rude and steals your money. Prepaid for $25 gave the lady $30, refused to give me a receipt because the "machine isn't working" so I went out to pump my gas and only spent $24.25 so I went back in to get my change which should have been $5.75 and she only gave me .75 cents. When I asked about the $5 she said I only gave her $25 and since I was refused a receipt I couldn't do anything about it. It's only $5 but the fact that she stole it is what makes me mad. I will never come back here.
