Mount Holly Springs is a borough in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,030 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Harrisburg - Carlisle Metropolitan Statistical Area.GeographyMount Holly Springs is located in south-central Cumberland County at, at the northern foot of the South Mountain range. Mountain Creek runs through the center of the borough, exiting the mountains via a water gap between Mount Holly to the west and Keller Hill to the east. Mountain Creek is a tributary of Yellow Breeches Creek, which flows east to the Susquehanna River. The borough limits extend south through the water gap to the Upper Mill area.According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 3.8sqkm, of which 3.5sqkm is land and 0.2sqkm, or 6.45%, is water. The borough is surrounded by South Middleton Township but is a separate municipality.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 1,925 people, 836 households, and 541 families residing in the borough. The population density was 1,276.8 people per square mile (492.2/km²). There were 926 housing units at an average density of 614.2 per square mile (236.8/km²). The racial makeup of the borough was 97.82% White, 0.88% African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.52% Asian, 0.31% from other races, and 0.42% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.19% of the population.
