Came for the free Raise the Bridges concert and was delightfully surprised by the clientele and staff. The bartender was fun to talk to and the patrons at doing karaoke at the lounge were inviting and fun. Drinks were regular bar prices which is rare and nice for a concert venue. It's kind of divey but that's the best kind of bar and venue in my opinion.
AVOID! Stopped in for comedy Friday at 915. comedy was goofy amateurs and fun. Bar tender female SUCKED and was horrible for a room with 14 people in it. light poor huge negative attitude at a comedy night physically grabbed me while I was watching the comedians causing me to choke. NEVER AGAIN. strongly recommend you give this place a pass. We had a better time next door. It's a shame last year they had a good bar tender and it was a fun place to be. I guess things change and sometimes like now to the negative. security guy was nice.
First of all, everything I'm about to say is 100% true. Maybe bad luck, but ABSOLUTELY TRUE. 1 - Received burned pizza 2 - Drinks were pretty high priced 3- Staff was less than friendly, and I don't mean in a cute Portland type of manner. 4 - Required my ID to keep a tab, which is fine, but when I asked for it back, they gave me a piece of paper instead that said they had given it to someone else. I never got my ID back and they were less than apologetic. Won't step foot in there again. Period. Good job. Real winners.
Great venue! Mt. Tabor Theater is wonderful. It is a little divy, but fits perfectly with the neighborhood and the acts that perform at the theater. Pizza is pretty reasonably priced, when it is brought in fresh. The alcohol on the other hand, is over priced with a crummy selection.
It's a weird place. The main room is cavernous, and the glo light smaller bar is oddly shaped. Drinks are ok, and reasonably priced, service is decent.
What a unique environment, and now thanks to new ownership, a great vibe. Good pizza and great drink prices, they bring many unique events! LOVE it!
