A small yet busy park in the Virginia Beach area. Very active with people walking, jogging, running, biking, fishing, and people just having their kids play on the playground. Great workout spot, you can run the hill or run laps. Different bathroom stations, clean, I went in the daytime felt safe. Nice views good fun time. Restrooms: Clean but as always never seen small kids or teenagers in alone.
Went there for the water lantern festival this year 2023. It had just recently rained the last couple of days and surprisingly the ground was not an entire swamp land. Not many places in Norfolk hold up after it rains. The venue is nice and spacious. The place is definitely kid and pet friendly. There is some handicap access for events but no ramps to reach the summit of the mount so be cautious with strollers, wagons, and wheelchairs. Public restrooms are nice and clean. For those looking to get a fun workout outside done there is tons to do from climbing the steps to running the lake side. Really nice place to relax at and chill for the day.
I had a wonderful time. I hadn't been to Mount Trashmore and over 24 years. Me and my family have a blast! My oldest had fun at the skatepark and that some very great skaters. My babies had fun walking up the hill and rolling down. It's a park for everyone!
I love going here on days I'm feeling down, I always see and meet new and interesting people. There's a reason why this is one of the top tourist destinations in Virginia. It's beautiful, spacious and peaceful. Picnic area: There are multiple picnic areas around the park, some right next to the lake, others closer to the playground.
Nice area to play and take a walk. Something for all ages to enjoy. I gave Mount Trashmore Park 4 stars because time will tell if this was a good idea.
This place a wonderful spot to spend time with your family. Whether u have kids or not there's something for everyone here. They have a huge kiddie park for the children to enjoy, there's also a skate park for the skater boys and a trail to walk the whole area. I also seen some people fishing hopefully they're throwing it back. There's also many picnic tables and seating to enjoy. Playground: Yes a huge one. Restrooms: Yes by the front near the lake. Dog-friendliness: Yes definitely bring your dog. Picnic area: Yes plenty of covered seating areas.
It's a great place to get pictures, and if you can walk up the steps, the view is worth it. Great spot to take the family.
Nice painting on the stairs. Flags at the trees. Skate park, playground, restrooms, Picnic areas, and plenty of space to walk, run, bike on the trails.
Beautiful huge park. Lots of people flying kites. Nice trails to walk. Playgrounds for kids to enjoy.
I’ve been going there constantly for 2 weeks now The park over there is so nice , people that work there really take care of it And the visitors most of them are chill at the morning, not too busy as well for a cycling rounds with a mountain bike Picnic area: I saw several groups doing picnic there and I think it suits stuff like that even concerts at night since they have a stand there for it
