Mountain Brook Country Club

I worked at mountain Brooke country club for the first time this year as housekeeping . I was very excited about my new job. I started October 12th, working with 2 other women everything was smooth sailing . After a while those two women were fired, I was the only one working for a while handling whatever I was told to do ALONE. Greeting the people of the club, always respectful to my coworkers, and most importantly always did my job. I was recently fired and I believe it was unjust because I haven’t done anything to provoke anyone and they are saying that’s the reason I was terminated. Any altercation with me I didn’t start they had men in talking to me with his hands in my face, women who I’ve never met telling me to do my job while on break, and there were several other Situations to occur that I didn’t report because I felt as if we were all adults and could go on with work and I could avoid specific people I believe this was racially motivated because when I did finally speak up for myself I was fired and everyone painted me out to be the angry black woman. I would also like to bring to light that everything that goes on in the club isn’t always legal. There’s undocumented workers in the kitchen. ZERO STARS! & I also was asked to get hired on but due to my situation outside of work I asked them to hold on and to give me time to get things together BUT they beg to differ and fired me days later. I wanted to speak my truth & pray that this doesn’t happens to another BLACK housekeeper!

We always come to the Moutain Brook Country Club for our annual St. Andrews Society's family brunch. The food is always superb. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. The chicken hash was beyond belief, the eggs perfect, the selection of food fantastic. We appreciate the hospitality and kind staff. We always feel welcome. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

This is one of the elite places in the south. I would give it five stars but it is way above what I can afford. Quite a few of our customers go there. When I was a teenager I did some work there. Magnificent place. Not for the average working person. Definitely a step above.

A lovely haunt for the 1%. A colonial-style building with dark wood-paneled walls and lovely furniture, the club offers excellent dining and impeccable service. Parking is a bit distant and requires a walk if you fail to opt for the valet service, and one peculiarity: no cellular signal. I'm told that this is deliberate, to prevent patrons, particularly the younger ones, from "zoning out" on their devices while on the grounds. Be that as it may, it's an unwelcome inconvenience to be unable to receive or place an important call or message while at the club. There is a free house phone available in a hidden booth on the main floor, but these days, who remembers all their contacts' phone numbers?

Was there to do some work. Everyone I walked by was really nice.
