A little about me:
Before I knew about "flipping" furniture, I was often caught up in the "find the cheapest thing I can" on a Target or WalMart website. The problem I often ran into, however, was finding that the $200 dresser I ordered was nothing but cheaply, mass produced particle board. Who wants that?!
Then came a time when my husband, upon realizing I did nothing for myself (motherhood is awesome, right!?), suggested I find a hobby or activity NOT involving my children to do a couple nights a week, just for some "me" time. Um, THANK YOU and yes, please! :)
Soooo, this furniture painting thing. I was intrigued. When you're on Pinterest instead of watching the 1,342nd repeat episode of Bubble Guppies, you start thinking about things. "Oh, a pallet wood wine rack?...I could totally do that..." "A giraffe make up holder? I'm there!" Anyway, it sparks ideas. Ideas that husbands hate. With a passion. But, who cares, it's MY hobby, right?
I signed up for a chalk paint class, and, well, you can probably guess that the rest is history. I fell in love (a fourth time - first my husband, then my two boys). And there you have it: wife, mother, and PAINTER. Let's see what Mountain Chic can do for you!
