Showed up right after opening, so we were the first ones there. Charming little place! Friendly staff! They have mimosas and Bloody Marys for breakfast! Maybe not FOR breakfast, but a nice addition! My wife loved her pineapple mimosa. I enjoy my VERY RARE Mr Pibb from the fountain. I love corned beef hash, but it's hot and miss. Too many places use canned Hormel. Mountain Home OBVIOUSLY makes their own. Absolutely killer corned beef hash. My wife is a biscuits and gravy hound, so she was very happy with the BAG at Mountain Home. I highly recommend this place for breakfast. We'll have to try lunch next time!
I asked if I could get the Great Mountain Skillet with over-easy eggs, but sadly, no, only with scrambled eggs. ***Sigh*** Not a deal breaker, but I ordered the All American Skillet instead, so I could get eggs the way I want them. Service was fast, even though it was a packed house. During a "spill clean up", I asked the "lead ?" if anyone was filling coffee and she answered testily,"Yes! Yes!" and grabbed a little thermos and tossed it on the table. My empty cup had been ignored for some time prior to that. All in all, great food!
I ate here on a busy Saturday morning around 10:00. Luis was a great server, even though I'm sure he was exhausted given the large number of customers that morning. I ordered the huevos rancheros and I thought it was great. But I don't have any Mexican breakfast restaurants back home so I have nothing to compare it to.
Mountain Home Café in Estes Park, Colorado was my favorite stop on my vacation. I am on a strict Gluten Free diet, so I was very happy to see they had Gluten Free French Toast on their menu. I hadn’t eaten that in almost two years. The entire meal was delicious. The coffee is also exceptional. Great relaxing atmosphere!Food: 5/5
It is located closer to the Rocky Mountains NP’s visitor center. Great options for breakfast/ brunch/ lunch. I had ordered a blt sandwich which comes with the side of fries but they can substitute it with a fruit bowl which makes is more healthy. Food is fresh, cheap and delicious. They have great vegan, vegetarian and meat options.Food: 5/5
We arrived in the middle of the morning and there were three of us for breakfast. The parking lot was fairly full, but we did not have any difficulty finding a spot. We put our name on the list while we were on our way, so we only had a couple minutes to wait when we arrived. The staff seemed a little frenzied, but it was busy and they were trying to keep up. It was cold out, but the patio has heaters that seemed to help keep it comfortable. The menu had typical but solid breakfast options. When the food came out the plates had decent portions and everything looked fresh. The eggs were good and the sausage links were really good. I thought the hash browns were better than most places, but the toast was a little sad. Our server was fairly attentive, but there wasn't anything about the service that was impressive. The space was fairly loud since it was completely full. Overall, I thought it was a good breakfast and I would definitely come back if in the area for breakfast food. Kid-friendliness: The menu had fun options for kids. Parking: There is a large parking lot that serves the shopping center. It has never been a problem to find parking.
We had breakfast and lunch here during our stay in Estes park. Good food and reasonable prices. Lots of vegetarian options which I really appreciated. Our server was very pleasant!Food: 5/5
Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - Country fried steak with sunny side up egg. The egg was a little sad and the serving not as big as the other restaurant we went to earlier in the week. The chicken was a bit on the dry end as well. Eggs Benedict was pretty good and the classic that you think of. The egg was runny when you cut into it and the hollandaise sauce was a nice consistency. Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go but it looks like a really cozy place Service: 5/5 - cashier was really patient and took care of us. They were able to greet some customers by name so this seems like a local spot. Value for price: 5/5 - reasonable price for pretty good food and amazing service
Wow! The food quality and portions here are both extraordinary. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We had the veggie scramble, biscuits and gravy, Alaskan oatmeal not pictured and country fried steak breakfast. Everything was perfectly prepared and and so very tasty. I also highly recommend the iced mocha coffee and cherry mimosa! Great experience!!
Party of 7 immediately seated at 8:45AM. Place was hopping & for good reason - food was delicious & service exceptional. We expected to wait a while but our food came quickly, portion sizes were great for the price. Only sad part is that we live in Missouri & are too far to visit frequently!
