For over 30 years, Founder of Mountain Scout Survival School, Shane Hobel, has dedicated himself to learning, applying and teaching ancestral/primitive survival skills.
He is one of five members of Tom Brown Jr.'s elite Tracker Search and Forensic Investigation Team. Shane is also the wilderness survival and tracker expert featured on CNN, CBS, NBC, FOX, Inside Edition, WPIX 11 and Cablevision. He has also appeared on the History Channel, National Geographic, Mansome, The New York Times and The New Yorker, as well as prominent regional newspapers, magazines and radio interviews.
Since very early childhood he has been a student of nature and practitioner of martial arts. Working under the tutelage of many native elders, he has truly developed his wilderness skills and has immersed himself in the writings, practices and philosophy of the native scout.
