Mountainside Hospital - Same Day Surgery

My experience in the MRI Department at Mountainside Hospital was excellent. Everyone was caring and professional. I especially want to mention Lucia. She is a prize asset to the department. She is very caring and proactive on behalf of the patient. She helped me get the Cervical MRI I needed as quickly as was humanly possible. She's a gem!

The staff at Mountainside is exceptional. They are caring, knowledgeable, and make the patients feel at ease. Everyone I encountered in Same Day Surgery, from the admitting staff to the nurses and doctors, was very responsive and friendly. Makes a huge difference.

Went into the ER with my wife for a concussion and have waited over 5 hours before anyone came into the room except for the person to collect my co-pay. I politely asked hourly if anyone could come in and each time was told they will be there shortly. However, when the doctor finally came is she was very nice and helpful. Would have been better off driving to any other hospital in the area.

I have had over 10 shoulder dislocations and every time my ER experience has been progressively worse. However, this hospital and ER I found to be the BEST experience I’ve ever had. The nurses and doctors and secretaries and security guards were not only fast and patient but they made the very painful experience not as negative. I’d choose this hospital any day. I was very surprised to meet such kind staff who cared and reassured me everything was going to be okay. You guys are the best!

The attending PA was rude and unprofessional. Didn’t answer any questions, was every short with the answers and looked like he wanted to leave the second he entered the room. The nursing staff on the other hand was excellent. She was very thorough and answered all questions that I had. I left the ER feeling very confident that I was in good hands not because of the ignorant PA but because of the nurse.

I had a positive experience with the emergency room team when I was sick. Even though it's a small hospital, the service is excellent and compassionate. I'm glad I went there. From check in to discharge. Thank you

I had an emergency situation last week and I stopped at Mountainside Medical Center where I was taken in right away. I had the best experience with the staff and the doctor! They delivered their services with professionalism, with very nice bedside manners, acting very fast and providing accurate tests and diagnoses. The doctor, the nurses and the service staff are lovely! Big thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I came in with my 11 month old due to vomiting and diarrhea. My son had not eaten or taken in fluids for over 12 hours. I was there 4 hours in the middle of the night and they did nothing except test for Covid/flu/rsv which was not my concern. When I asked if they were going to give any fluids or monitor him taking in any, they said no and gave us know advice upon leaving.

Leaving this review for my mother-in-law, who is just recently an outpatient at the hospital. They were fantastic! Every person we came in contact with was kind and caring and her Doctor-Dr. Oh was wonderful. We recommend mountainside highly.

My mother went to the hospital with pains in her chest and lungs. She was seen and an EKG was done. Her vitals were taken. My mom was sent to a room in the ER and was left there for a few hours and no one checked up on her. She walked out to of the hospital after being there so long. My mother is 83 years old. She even stated to me that there was not that many patients in the ER. My advise to the hospital staff is that you need to monitor your patients on a more consistent basis.
