Moxie is the place for Indy films and well…all films. No place like this. Cozy and clean, friendly staff and a real at-home feel. Intimate viewing experience makes it far better than a big crowded mainstream theatre!
I love it here. If you’re a cinefile you have to check this place out. The experience of a small independent theater is refreshing to say the least, and definitely worth it.
The Moxie is one of my favorite places in Springfield. The membership is definitely worth it free admission to special screenings, free popcorn, discounted tickets for new movies. I highly recommend supporting this local movie theater.
Great cinema experience, comfortable seating, great sound & sharp projection.
Great local theater to see independent films. They also show popular films, Oscar shorts, have theme nights, and more. It's an intimate experience with small theaters and employees who show you to your seat and introduce the film before it begins. A very wholesome and heartwarming experience every time we go. Even with all this, the prices are the same or even a little cheaper than chain theaters. They even serve wine and beer which is pretty cool. The atmosphere is always great. No complaints.
This is a little theater! It's nice though, because you don't have to wait in super long lines or sit in super crowded theaters. It's more of an intimate feel, with all the same cool theater attractions lol And the popcorn is super fresh! One of the freshest popcorn, I've tasted!
My favorite place to slow down and really get into a good movie.
Very nice people working there. Went to see Alfred Hitchcock's the original PHYSCO from 1960 on Halloween night. I had a beer and some popcorn. They serve wine as well. Limited seating and mask on when not eating or drinking... but we all could expect that. But I had a great time.
I recently viewed a late evening viewing of “Echoes In the Canyon.” I was the only one in attendance. Regrettably, I was late to the movie about 10 minutes but the staff was generous and hospitable. After getting a popcorn and a pint glass of water which was free I was ushered into the theater. The Moxie employee waited for me to be seated and then started the movie for me! The theater was small and a little dated. The sound quality left a lot to be desired. However if your looking for a place to view smaller art or indie films, it’s a good option.
Probably the best/coolest theater in the entire state of Missouri.
