Moyhe African Hair Braiding

Haby is near retirement, she's still has what it takes to get the job done. She braids pretty good. Hadja is the tall stylist, shes on point, she could talk loud in your ear and still get the job done, my box braids were on point and tightly. I just want to feel pain when my hair is freshly done and she did exactly that. Hadja is cool and Haby is a veteran, whose hanging in there as much as she can.

The owner did my hair,rushed job on my boxbraids. I asked for simple medium braids got home seen the braids in the back were all different sizes. NEVER AGAIN! Nice/ decent person. A lot of traffic in salon

So someone recommended this shop to me and I went.! I did cornrows with a sew in on top ..almost like a Mohawk. The person that did my hair ..talked very loudly in another language as she braided my hair the entire time. She was constantly distracted by her phone, the television or Just plain old having a conversation with someone else. The cornrow look like it’s been in my head for about two weeks and she just did it. They are loose..she didn’t get the side hairs ..and it just sloppy. I am super disappointed bc I don’t live in the area and drove almost 40 mins. I will never return again for sure because my hair looks a mess. And I forgot she didn’t even tell her name ..that’s how uninterested she was in me the consumer and so into everything else like her phone ..talking to other stylist and the television. I paid 80 dollars so I have no choice but to walk around with braids that are brand new but look like they been in for weeks. Never again.

I don’t know why I went and stayed there. I just remember it from many years ago and was in the area. I called early in the morning asked for a faux fro . Send a YouTube video that showed how to do it from beginning to end. Was told YES style can be executed. Get there and let’s just say HABY LIED. The lady don’t even part it in the sections how i wanted. She on the phone she chatting she braids it small with mad space between the throes orange hair on top of 1b. I end up telling them forget i ll finish it or go to Brooklyn where there up to date with styles. She tells me yes go to Brooklyn and let them do it. They don’t do Mohawks. Worst experience in MY LIFE. Waist of money end up taking it out and wearing a Afro pony. Lost 65 for TRASH.,

I went to Haby to get my hair in Senegalese twist and they used the wrong hair. Not only did they use the wrong hair but the twist was unraveling even after the hair was dipped in hot water. I went back the next day and they retwisted it and they came out again. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one. The wo At African braiding shop I’ve ever been to. Save yourself.

This place sucks no water no heat. NO BRAIDING SKILLS. NO manners, one girl ask questions during process but was obviously annoyed and kept speaking about it. The only reason I think this place is open is because of location, not skill. Right near LIRR.

This hair salon I went to do my box braids from there yesterday not satisfied it was 3 people in my hair I came about 4 oclock in left before 8 I feel like they rushed to do my hair in not really happy with the results they made alot of big braids in the back in my hair dont feel full but trying to make it work highly upset the boxes are so big in the back when I put it in bun it looks stupid never experienced this before ps I had patients in I came with my 6 month baby

They are lovely people. I was nicely welcomed n got a beautiful breads. Will be there again n again.
