Mr. Big and Tall

Tip Top Pickering and Oshawa associates do not know what they’re doing. My husband went into the Oshawa store wanting to buy a suit but they apparently did not have his size, so he placed an order. Waited for that to come in and turns out they ordered the wrong size because it was too big. He then went to the Pickering store to see if that could be exchanged - a new one was ordered but alterations would be necessary. He asked if it would be possible to have it done before a specific date since we have to catch a flight to attend the wedding, he explained that Oshawa would not be able to have it done in time. The associate, Daniel, said it would be ready on Thursday the following week. He received a call the next week stating the alterations were not done and to come the day after. We went in on Saturday expecting to pick it up but turns out it was not done. The female associate said it will be done on Wednesday when the tailor is in next. We explained that we have a flight to catch the coming Friday so we need the suit by latest Thursday. She agreed and said she will put a note on the suit so that the tailor can see it first thing. Fast forward to Wednesday morning, my husband called to make sure the suit will be done and the same female associate said yes it will be done by the evening. We call on Wednesday evening to check on the status and Daniel answered and said it was not ready. They cannot do anything about it and would help in no way. We are getting on a flight in 2days. Daniel was rude, not willing to help and hung up on us. Ridiculous service, will never support this again.

Good to see Tip Top Tailors still in business. I used to shop at their stores different location many years ago when I used to buy suits on a regular basis. Just don't wear them any more. Good store with good efficient service.

I really like this store. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Great items to choose from. 10/10

The brother of the groom, and myself, the best man, had a great experience with Daniel who showed us a variety of options! He was kind, courteous and offered suggestions for styling which we really appreciated - I will return here for my suits/tuxedos for more weddings later this summer.

Today we went to Tiptop Oshawa store at 6:20 the store closes at 7 due to protocols we had to wait for 10 to 15 minutes understandable however, when we got in as we were browsing through the suits a young sales associates came to us and said he won’t be able to. Help as it is close to closing time and he is already busy with another customer upon which we told him we understand he can help the other customer, then he went to a older gentleman complaining about him very busy and came back and started ranting about closing him and he busy etc. to which I asked if he want us to leave. As we started to leave the older gentlemen asked what had happened, so we explained and after hearing us he started to justify lack of customer service and how we came close to closing time etc. In a nut shell it was extremely bad experience. I wish the staff is either trained or given more help to provide good customer experience …. Very unfortunate they have lost a customer

The staff are excellent, the selection is fare. Being a big person shopping for clothing sucks.. but not here. They have always taken good care of me no matter what the occasion is they will dress you properly. Professional and knowledgeable.

The sales lady at Tip Top at Pickering town centre never greeted us when we walked in, never offered to help us find anything for our wedding. This has happened on 2 separate occasions. No intentions on returning to purchase anything at that store.

Needed a suit soon for an event so I went to Tip Top. The store opened later than the official start time. After 10 minutes of looking through suits myself, I had to approach the sales associate myself for help picking something out while there was only 1 other customer in the store. After finally getting his attention, the tailor got me to put the suit on. The quality of the suit was fantastic. However, Tim - the sales associate, had a very unpleasant attitude that I did not appreciate. Normally, I would have walked out because of this type of service but I was pressed on time for my event so I needed to buy the suit. After coming back 2 days later to pick up the suit after alterations had been made, I noticed that the suit had a visible pen mark on the jacket. This was completely unacceptable because I was charged $72 for alterations. After 30 minutes of arguing, the manager agreed to get one of the tailors to remove the pen mark. I would not recommend this place.

I had bought a pair of shorts and brought them back to exchange and they were not suitable. I felt like i was putting the gentleman out and his demeaner was much to be desired. The gentleman the day before was helpful courteous and knowledgeable. And said if not suitable to bring them back which i did. I will now shop on line as seems like these people have lost the ability to interact in person. I will not spend another dime there.

My husband needed a suit for Monday we went into tip top tailors on Saturday the lady in the Pickering store could not be more helpful her customer service skills were impecible nothing was a bother to her we chose a suit she measured had the trousers altered for us on the spot what could have been a awful experience for us she made so easy. Unfortunately I have forgotten her name but she was the only lady in the store that day. My husband and I Thank her so much and we certainly will recommend Tip Top Tailors to Our friends and relatives. Associates # 25519
