They sure are strict on their return dates. Only two days overdue and there are charges on my account… Guy at the desk wasn’t so kind about it either. Decent book selection. Newer to the area but I’ve never had issues with other libraries for two day overdue books.
This place still acts like it's 2020 and covid is raging. It's been 3 years. The bathrooms and water fountains only recently reopened. There are still plastic barriers and you have to hold up your barcodes to scan. I also agree that some staff members are rude.
Absolutely terrible, I don’t have access to a computer and needed to download some software on a usb for a navigation upgrade on my vehicle, when I inquired how to do so the librarians displayed anger and quite frankly felt like I was being shamed. That is not the way you treat people, behavior was unacceptable
The staff at this library are incredibly rude and need some serious customer service training. This is a LIBRARY. It should feel welcoming and inclusive to all. The also have a very limited selection of books. They allow you to request books via inter-library loan but then limit you to only 2 per request and it takes up to 3 weeks to receive the requested books. Many of the staff members do not even know what inter-library loan is. The staff at the front desk refused to grab my books from the back counter that were previously requested online even though my husband was going to check them out and was present. They do not treat you like a human. Will not return until changes are made.
The librarians here are the rudest I've ever come across. I've come in almost weekly and see them yelling at children or being gruff with patrons. I understand nicely explaining rules, but they don't do that here. The second a kid gets excited and runs, they are yelling. It's unwelcoming and uncomfortable.
The librarians are very nice and helpful. I really like that it has 2 study rooms with no talking allowed.
This library seems very clean, well stocked, and has a large children's section, which is wonderful! However, I thought it was odd that there's not a single seat tucked away in a cozy corner or quiet place. There are the study rooms, but that's not really the kind of reading environment I'm looking for either. I travel all over middle Tennessee for work and if I find myself in town with an hour or two before my next client, I like to go to the local library. I have to admit, after an overstimulating session with a young client, a quiet hour in a cozy spot is very helpful, but out of all the libraries I've been to, this is definitely the least cozy. It's almost like they've arranged everything with the purpose of keeping everyone in view of the check-out desks, which seems weird? Overall it's a nice place, but I'd have to admit even books a million is cozier.
Great librarians & staff! Always very helpful with locating items & renewals.
Good selection of books, a lot of space. To get a new library card takes a few minutes. Check they’re website for details. Friendly and helpful stuff. You can put on hold some books online and then pick them up later. If you looking for a specific book you can use library computer and find it by title or author and it will show where exactly in the library you can find that book.
This is your classic Tennessee library, sad if not angry staff "boomers", 80's vibe, no food, drink, even the restrooms have a weird rule for sinks., antiquated furniture/space, one hour if you need a computer. Oh and don't even get me stated on childrens area, so sad. Etc... I'm glad some people enjoy this library "bless their hearts" they do not know any better. I probably won't ever go back unless I need printing. I been to hundreds if not thousands of libraries in the US. And sadly this library is one the worst, objectively speaking, simply a wasted tax paid opportunity. Simple fix. Remove/replace all staff over thirty top down if there's a board or oversight whatever, bow your heads and resign. Remodel. It's 2022 get with the programs...
