Sertoma is an acronym for SERvice TO MAnkind, and its charitable focus has traditionally been helping those with hearing loss. To fulfill that mission, our group has for many years fully funded MUSC's Camp Communication. For 20 years, Camp Communication has brought together children between the ages of 4 and 12 who have received cochlear implants for a week-long summer camp. We have also supported many other local charities, with a special focus on those working primarily in the East Cooper community.
