Mt. Vernon Outland Airport (MVN) serves the businesses and residents of Jefferson and neighboring Counties. The airport’s modern infrastructure, highlighted by an Instrument Landing System equipped 6500’ by 150’ main runway, makes it an ideal location for numerous aeronautical activities. MVN boasts a joint airport/city fire station as well as an Air-Evac Lifeteam “Super-Base”. Both facilities are staffed 24 hours per day/seven days per week with highly trained personnel and state of the art equipment. Since MVN is a 14CFR Part 139 airport, ARFF Index A classification is maintained at all times. ARFF Index B classification can be arranged with prior notice.
