As The Owner of the City Of Mount Vernon it embarasses me to say that I am beyond disappointed with these cops.Today was the last straw.CHANGES WILL BE MADE because they are entirely too disrespectful and I'm not tolerating it anymore.Alot of em gonna find themselves in that unemployment line very soon."Mark My Words"

This one-star grade isn’t merely for the cops’ failure to respond to calls or the time I reported there was s charging, growling, garbage-eating dog in the parking lot of the Pennington grade school at noon on a weekday “What do you want me to do about it??” One night, a friend of mine had too much to drink & disappeared from our house. After looking all over, we called the MVPD and gave the dispatcher a complete description, her phone number, our address & the approx time she left. An officer called us a few minutes later and claimed he spoke w/our friend, who said she was at home. I explained that her home was in Far Rockaway, Queens. The officer claimed there was nothing more he could do b/c she said she was fine. I explained she was DRUNK, we had seen her only 15 minutes before and it was not humanly possible for her to be at home. He said he didn’t understand. I added she could be in trouble—lying in a gutter, staggering down a busy street, etc. I urged him to track her phone and do SOMETHING to find her; he refused. We wound up driving around the neighborhood calling her name out the car window, and soon found her talking to a couple of strangers who had taken her cell phone & were trying to get her to go with them. I called the MVPD again and told them we found her in a very dangerous situation, and the same officer repeated he believed my friend when she said she was home. If any of you know of a way to teleport from Mt. Vernon to Queens—and in less than 15 minutes—I’d like to hear it. This police force puts the residents of Mt. Vernon in danger through their indifference and stupidity.

Takes 3 phone calls to get an operator. These police officers are quick tempered and rude. This is why gun violence is so rampant in Mount Vernon. The police should be blamed because tax payer dollars are given to these people who don’t care about enforcing a law rather than the self acknowledgement that they can wear a badge. Disgusting place.

My mom got attacked. We went in the day after and all those people did, was make her feel like what she went through was nothing. I could see them standing around, laughing and eating. All they had to say was 'why didn't u report it the day before?' I'm sry but no, just no. And there was this particular lady who was saying 'if u could wait all night to report it, then u can wait to do it now' oh I don't know, I don't think anyone wants to wait 1 hr 30mins to do a police report and have to deal with attitude to boot

Dropped off an order of protection a month ago and still hasn't been served. It is impossible for them not to get it served all this time, if they claim they try to serve twice a day from 9am to 9pm. Your better off getting someone else to serve whoever you need to be served. Horrible service

Hands down the most useless bunch of civil service employees. Mt vernon police station location next to city hall department needs an overhaul. Hate to say it but lazy lazy lazy. Speaking to the lieutenant sounded as if i was speaking to a trailer park manager. Shmd.

I asked for a police report on a job that was scamming people out of their money and identity. They told me "We don't do reports like that here". Perhaps, it was just that one person that didn't understand the situation. . But judging by the reviews of this place, I doubt it.

Had a lil fender bender, police officer showed up and took the license registration etc and other parties statement, 2 minutes laters hands me the report number. How come never ask me my side of the story?

would like to give a shout out to the MVPD Captain and 477 that worked on 4/28/17 in the early morning to assist me to keep NYS.OPWDD clients whom reside with Developmental Disabilities safe.The Captain of the shift tour and officer 477 worked to assure clients under psychiatric distress were safe and sound went over and above.Would also like to thank Officer Sophia whom have worked with me and Emergency services at a prior date.you guys are phenomenal

I'm currently sitting here still waiting to file a police report Going on 2 hour already. Forget the report I'm just going to write this review this precinct is terrible. Two other people show up and they got their report in while I'm still waiting.
