Great Prices. Ordered a complete deck for 60-100 dollar less than anyone else would have sold for. Cards were sorted and sent out very quickly. Only problem was USPS had an issue with my order, I chose 2 day priority mail, and it took over a week which wasn't MTG Deals fault to begin with. It eventually arrived and they were helpful with me the whole way, they also refunded me the entire shipping charge. 5/5 definitely recommend these guys for any card game needs, staff was very friendly over the phone as well.
They've got a great inventory and pretty good prices, the only problem is that they are usually under-staffed. This often leads to long waits. Sometimes certain employees won't name names will put their friends ahead of you in line, but, at the same time, some employees are quite friendly and fair this time I will name names- Daniel. You're cool. Go there for buying cards or whatever, but for events I'd recommend Manaforge Games.
GREAT place to hang out and play magic, you can eat and drink here and lots and lots of tables and employees to judge, but as a card shop it's all right... But they don't have any magic cards on display, don't have a variety of different Booster packs, don't have much of a variety of anything... And most of the time don't even have cards in Stock. They always seem short staffed, and while the employees are always nice, they're always so busy. The store can get pretty dirty too cause people don't clean up after themselves. I love playing with and theyre open late but sucks they don't bother to have a better magic card set up with more accessories and cards on display anymore.
I went over to sell a big deck of YuGiOh! cards that I no longer needed. Only to find out that I had to make an account online at their store to see if they would accept them. Which was completely ridiculous! Put of the 50+ cards I had they only wanted two. And the service could have been better. They stuck me on that computer expecting me to know what I was doing. And the fact that their whole business is revolved around a computer is unprofessional because they don't know what they are doing. Wasted my time. I am never going back. I'd rather go to Frank and Sons where they actually take your cards and have stock that they physically go through.
This place is huge, plenty of tables. You can easily spread out and not feel suffocated. Great selection of board games, and mtg stuff. I have been here for several mtg tournaments and I have nothing good to say about those experiences. Also not in a great area, bad food options. I will probably never go back to MTG deals.
This an outstanding resource for MTG. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, fair and very knowledgeable. The have standard drafts weekly, legacy tournaments and participate in the pre-releases. They open early and close late. They are very fair on trades and will always work with you. Call them to see for yourself. Ask for Brian. This guy is smart, nice, can give you current prices on almost anything without looking them up and can multi-task like no other--he is a machine!!!
The best store in soCal! I first know about deals in grand prix; they are very competitive in buy price and have ridiculous sale price. Just like in their store, what I liked the most is how they pay attention to the condition of cards. I have been a long time customer to other sites like scg and card kingdom, and i am pleasantly surprised that mtg deals is by far the most strict in grading while having the cheapest price! This is the result of buying multiple 1000+ order and every order came in perfect!
We purchased 4 foil delver of secrets off of eBay from these guys. When it comes in the mail, we checked, and they were in fact non foil. That, for the record, is a price difference of 30 dollars. When contacted about it, they informed my girlfriend she was a liar and they couldn't have possibly messed it up. They refused to correct our order, and even after reporting through eBay, they continued to call us lairs. I am in the card selling business as well, and I know from first hand experience that mistakes happen. The situation could have been handled on their part, as to not ruin an amazing Christmas present.
3 weeks ago I was looking for a single sleeve for a MTG Planeswalker card that I was selling on Ebay. I asked the guy who I believe was named Mikesp if they carried single card sleeves that were sturdy. Unfortunately, they said they didn't carry them but to hold up. He went to the back and returned back 5 sleeves and gave them to me. I offered to pay and he said that it was cool. Because of this act of kindness and customer service I will be using MTG Deals as my go to source for MTG from now on. To the store associate that helped me out, THANKS!
They have moved to another place!!!!!! And unfortunately the new place is very small compare to the old place. Maybe 1/8 of the old place size. The new address and hours is in the picture I posted.
