Mueller Park Canyon is part of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. At an elevation of 5,400 feet is is home to wildlife including deer, moose, black bear, mountain lions, and a host of year-long and migratory birds such as Western Tanagers, Steller's Jays, Yellow Warblers, Northern Flickers, Red-tailed-Hawks, Black-capped Chickadees, and Downy Woodpeckers. Shady maple, aspen, cottonwood, willow, pine, and fir trees surround this beautiful site, offering a cool retreat from the city below. Mill Creek runs through the bottom of the canyon, providing water to wildlife, some fishing, and a beautiful atmosphere.
