Mugs Cafe in Argenta is a must stop if you are in Little Rock. The Argenta neighborhood has really good vibes and there are a lot of places to eat. With that being said, Mugs is an amazing place to stop. Try their breakfast tacos for sure. Today I had their sausage, egg and cheese biscuit which was phenomenal I do recommend adding a jelly of your choice to it so you get the perfect sweet and savory balance. The picture I'm adding does not do the place justice so you need to stop by for yourself. Great people. They are pet friendly as long as the dog is well behaved!
Stopped for a mid morning booster. Latte and scone. The atmosphere is industrial yet inviting and comfortable. Big tables are great to spread out on. Not like most cramped restaurants. The espresso was perfect and the scones were fresh and delicious.
This place is a jewel of Argenta. The breakfast, fruit bowl and coffee were delicious and the city scenery is amazing. Youll need to get your meal from the chef when he calls, bus your own table, use ketchup packets, and its 3.25 for a can of diet coke. Jada and the Chef bring a real professional / home vibe. What an amazing warm morning.
To the black gentleman who made my burger on 11/7/22 around noon: you are a culinary angel …it was delicious. I’ve had a burger before but this time was different. Whatever you did, please keep doing it. Updated review: Mugs is super close to my job so I go here often. Today I tried the Turkey sliders. OMG they were good. The shaved turkey with a few crispy ends along with the bacon was delicious. I asked for my cranberry sauce on the side so that I could control the amount on my sandwich. The sweetness of the sauce and saltiness of the bacon was so good. Try Them!! Review from 7 months ago: I tried Mugs for the first time and everything was good. My sister order the fried bologna sandwich and cinnamon muffin. Bomb! I ordered the breakfast bagel with avocado and bacon. They messed up and forgot the bacon of all things but I had them throw a few pieces on and all was well. The French toast was delicious. The stems on the strawberries were pretty janky and should have been cut off. They looked worse in person. Overall I was impressed and it’s a cool quiet spot to go work or study in. We went back a few days later and tried their hazelnut chocolate cake with caramel drizzle. Amazing!
Cozy place, delicious soft and smooth tasty muffin. Amazing americano, friendly service, , but no croissant unfortunately. Will come back until I get it...Food: 5/5
This spot always has tasty, made to order food. A great atmosphere for family or work. Try the cinnamon roll late, it's amazing!
I loved the friendly service and brightly lit space. Many cafe's have a dark, warm atmosphere which is great. But sometimes sitting in a room well lit is what helps inspire productivity. This is also a great place to meet friends, work associates, and family for whatever reason. The food and beverages that I've had were great. I tried one of their specialty coffee drinks on their menu and was not disappointed. It was a drink you wouldn't expect to find in Arkansas.
Had the bologna breakfast sandwich and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Best way to describe the food was blah. It wasn't awful but me and my wife both said we could make it better at home. Sausage while I appreciate was fresh made into a patty was overcooked and so was the biscuit. Gravy tasted like it was out of a packet. Bologna sandwich was kind of flavorless. We went in a Saturday morning and it almost took a half hour to get the food after we ordered, so they are not quick. Got the yabba dabba do and London fog coffee and those were good, but again it took 15 minutes after we ordered to get the and they were finished before we ever got the food. We decided that we would go back for the coffee again but not the food. Coffee was a 4 star and food was a 2 star meal, so I say it averages out to 3 stars. The whole experience wasn't worth the 30+ dollars we spent.
Came to have coffee and get some work done midday on Wednesday of this week. When I entered the cafe, a young lady sitting at a table got up to go behind the counter and take my order. I greeted her with a hello and she literally just looked at me with no response as if I was interrupting her break. I then ordered a small Cuban hot. She made my drink and I politely asked her for a cup of ice so I could add water from the self serve beverage station. Again no verbal response. She just hesitated and then proceeded to grab the cup of ice. I thanked her a second time and she had absolutely no response. Any other time I might’ve thought she was just having a bad day. However, she was being super friendly, chipper and conversational with her co-worker in the kitchen area. She made it known that her issue was with the customer and she made it her business to make me feel unwelcome. Very rude and awful customer service. She has no business working a front counter. The Cuban was decent but I will never recommend or return based on this experience. It was terrible!
To start, I usually love going to Mugs when I come home to visit my family in Arkansas. It's one of my favorite place to do my job and work. After todays experience with the male employee with long brown hair, I will definitely never be returning. When I first walked up to the counter, I felt an immediate hostility from this employee. He was short and rude. I asked his opinion on one of the fall specials and he just laughed at me & treated me like I was stupid for even asking his opinion. I then proceeded to order a Bacon, Egg, & Gouda bagel, but I asked if there was anyway to have the bagel without the bacon and egg due to some of my dietary restrictions. I even offered to order something else if it was too complicated. He acted as if this was the dumbest order he has ever received in his life. As if the concept of cheese and bread could be so weird to even concept? I even tipped the man 20% because I knew I was asking for a special order. After checking out, I asked him where I could find the poster for the wifi and his response was "I don't know it's somewhere over there". The password is literally one word. I would have taken him 2 seconds to have ANY form of customer service of directing me to the sign or just simply telling me the password. When I received my bagel, attached to it was a chef's note that read "Bagel w/ Gouda I know lol". I approached the man before leaving and told him that next time he wanted to be rude to his customers, he should at least try to make it a little less obvious. Needless to say, the man had very little social skills & chose to be dismissive & rude out because of absolutely nothing. So, definitely will not be returning there ever again. The young girl employee was an absolute gem & very sweet, though!
