We love this sound side park! It’s a beautiful place to relax, watch the ferries and enjoy mountain & sound views! We also love the public fire pits available! There is also plenty of parking and a boat ramp as well as a pavilion and playground for kids. Always a nice spot to take the dogs - on leash - to walk and sniff.
It was a nice park and very relaxing from the waves of Puget sound. The top of the lighthouse was pretty cool! It was very chilly breeze in the beach and it was good to get out of the house and especially how how it is in the summer. I totally recommend this place. Dog-friendliness: Everybody brings their dogs!
Sunsets are incredible here. Beautiful quaint seaside viewpoint with lots of cool neighboring pubs and restaurants. Come watch the sunset, wildlife, and occasional ferry pass by. However in the summer the sunsets can get quite crowded so get here early for a prime spot.
Beautiful place to spend time for an evening stroll. It has a small play area for the kids. Few fire pits and good parking space. Very close to the ferry terminal and the bus stop. All in all, great place to relax and unwind.
I love this park. I grew up coming here and although it has changed quite a bit, it still has the quaint Mukilteo feel that I love so much. Paying for parking sucks but I understand they gotta pay for the upgrades to the park somehow! There are always a bunch of people down at the waterfront for the sunsets but we have always managed to find a great spot to hang out for a while. I love how there are restrooms right on the waterfront! When I was young, we'd have to walk way over to the dingy restrooms where the ferry dock used to be to the left of Ivar's Fish Bar as you are coming down the hill. Great place for kids, families, dogs and people just wanting a very peaceful place to chill. I highly recommend this park
06/03/23: this place is a must-go-to park for anyone, especially tourists. The view is outstanding and stunning. I can see a spectacular view of Puget Sound along the spacious beach view. The parking is ample, with a historic Lighthouse where it marked the first place they had settled to find new land in the 1800s. There are tons of fast-food chains, restaurants, and hotels nearby. You can also take the nearby ferry to go to Whidbey Island. I enjoy coming here and hopefully, I will be back with more updates
Title: A Hidden Gem for Unforgettable Sunset Review: There is no entry fee but you need to pay for parking I recently had the pleasure of visiting lighthouse park with its unique combination of a lighthouse, multiple fireplaces, a small backwater beach kind of vibe, a volleyball court, and a picturesque railway track. It truly is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene and breathtaking beauty of the surroundings. The lighthouse adds a touch of history and charm to the area. The warm glow of the fireplace creates an inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and cozy gatherings with friends and family. It's the ideal spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. The volleyball court is a fantastic addition, adding an element of fun and friendly competition. Whether you're an avid player or just looking to have a good time, this well-maintained court will surely bring a smile to your face. It's a great way to bond with friends and meet new people while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. What truly sets this place apart is the stunning sunset views. As the sun starts its descent, the sky transforms into a mesmerizing palette of vibrant colors. Last but not least, the beautiful railway track that runs behind adds a touch of nostalgia and romance. It's the perfect backdrop for a leisurely stroll, allowing you to embrace the tranquil ambiance while marveling at the passing trains. The combination of nature and man-made structures is simply captivating. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a sunset enthusiast, or simply looking for a serene escape, this hidden gem has it all. Prepare to be mesmerized by its charm, beauty, and the peaceful serenity it offers. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
Lighthouse Park is definitely one of the most beautiful beach parks I've been to. There is A LOT of open space, several covered areas with picnic tables as well as many throughout the park and walking trail. At the entrance there are business's to purchase beverages and food & ice cream. There are 2 bathroom buildings: 1 at the entrance that is much nicer than the 1 over by the playground but they both have stalks, warm water & soap to wash up and hand dryers. The playground is on the small side but the pg toys are cool that they do have! And again they are lots of little seats and stools positioned around the pg. Tons of beach area and around sunset there's a fresh wave of people, old and young that come to sit and watch the sunset bringing chairs, blankets, camp fire supplies and music It's a beautiful place!
A good place to relax both with family and alone, there are many places where you can sit, just a walk along the shore will not leave you indifferent, because there are many birds and various animals on the shore that are thrown out of the water. The kids will definitely be interested.
Our favorite go to spot. Best kid spot. Trains,planes,ferry boat,rocks,sand, driftwood,a playground,bondfire options,picinic tables,volleyball nets,great parking. It’s one of a kind.
