Muncie Matters is a digital and social media experiment on bridging the divide of existing newspaper platforms and the future of communication. Can we uphold the roots of journalism and also serve public relations concepts? Can we seek the truth and also brand the community?
The mission for Muncie Matters is twofold:
1) Re-branding Muncie through the development of meaningful, authentic content for the community by the community. No one knows Muncie's stories better than those who live here.
2) Create and expand a media institution owned by community members focusing on journalism as its core, while members contribute their own content and press releases for the greater community.
