The nickname "Murph McCoy" was coined by my band of merriment in high school. So we came up with "Rockin' Gourmet" because of my animated personality. Hence the company's name "Murph McCoy's Rockin' Gourmet".
My fondness for food percolated while perched upon the kitchen counter as a youngster watching my mother and grandmother prepare meals. Trying different professions, I found myself gravitating back to the kitchen and have been there ever since. Growing up in Corvallis Oregon, I grew to appreciate and live by what I call the three F's of life: food, football and fellowship. Food and football are what draw people together.
After working in a couple different eateries in the local area,I created a line of Gourmet sauces, dips and spreads, most notably our line of hummus: Garlic Basil, Cilantro Pesto, Chipotle Garlic, White Bean/Roasted Pepper and Sweet Potato. Other flavors in our product line include Feta cheese spread and Pesto made with toasted barley. We are local, fresh and we make living by the three F's more enjoyable
