Murray's Mortuary

Our experience with the staff at Murray's was beyond excellent. From the first phone call Garrett and the staff went above and beyond to help my husband make all the final arrangements for his father's memorial service. The facility was exceptional and clean, when i say nothing out of place i mean just that. Garrett, and the staff made a sad situation so smooth for us. But the icing on the cake for me was pastor Riddy, the message he preached on Joy was perfect and right on time and the songs he sang were as well. So If you are looking for a mortuary to lay your love one to rest I highly recommend Murray's without hesitation

I am extremely disappointed with Murray's Funeral Home. Their mortuary was extremely negligent in their care of my family member. Their funeral allowed someone that was NOT family to be left alone with our family member which in return that individual took an authorized video and posted it on social media. How would they feel if any of their loved one was exposed in that manner? When attempting to address the Morturary, I was hung up on and chastised for being upset as if I was calling about a retail matter. When you lose a loved one you are entrusting the care of any Morturary Home to facilitate laying to rest your loved one during a delicate and difficult time. I believe that Murray Funeral Home dropped the ball, passed blame in the matter, and never offered any form of sympathy or simply empathized with me or my family. I strongly suggest that others consider carefully when conducting business with this Morturary. I would not trust them to lay to rest a stray dog after what I've experienced. Our family was left feeling as if our encounter was more transactional, and no family should be left feeling that way. I can only give a synopsis of my personal experience and express those of my family.

Losing a loved one is hard. Being responsible for making the arrangements is a stressful situation in addition to your loss. When my father in law passed, we needed to have his body sent back to Charleston from Atlanta. From the moment we contacted Murray's, we felt some relief. Melvin made the process so easy. He was extremely prpfessional, helpful and walked us through the entire process. He was always available to answer our many questions. When we made it to Charleston, the entire team was great. My father in law's health had declined over the past few years so his appearance changed. When we got to Murray's and saw him, we were so pleased. Murray's took the time to prepare my father in law's body and had him looking as he did before his health issues. They treated him with dignity and respect and we couldn't have asked for a better outcome. Thank you Melvin, Kenny, and Crystal.

I want to say thank you to Chardale Murray and staff for your professional services. You were compassionate and kind during a difficult time. I was highly impressed with Mr. Kenny Ellis Kenny. He exemplified excellent customer service. He was very friendly, dedicated, mannerable, knowledgeable, and had a positive attitude. He was very empathetic to my situation. Whenever I called on him, he always made time. I had a hiccup in my situation, but Kenny stuck with me to the end, making sure everything was correctly processed. He made me feel very comfortable during this process. If I had to rate Kenny with ten being excellent, I would give him a 12. He is truly an asset to the company. Most amazing experience in such an emotional situation. Very attentive. Didn't try to promote anything above our limited means. They met every need and helped us not to overlook any details. Thank so very much.

I give Murray's Mortuary 5 stars because they are a professional, clean, compassionate, and friendly establishment. They pay attention to detail and work with you from the beginning to the end. They made my family feel comfortable and did an amazing job orchestrating the funeral services and the burial. Don't think twice about hiring them. You won't regret it!
