Come visit the Muscatine Arboretum today! 15 acres of native and ornamental trees, shrubs and flowers are waiting for you to discover them!
The Muscatine Arboretum's first tree was a swamp white oak, planted on April 17th, 1996. Since then the Muscatine Arboretum Association has planted over 1,000 trees and shrubs. Throughout the 13 acres of the arboretum, you will find collections of linden, maple, oak, crab apples, hostas, dwarf conifers and more. In addition to the beautiful trees and plantings, you can also enjoy a Veterans Memorial Area, a medieval style brick labyrinth, a gazebo (perfect for picnics) and many benches to sit and enjoy your surroundings!
The purpose of the the arboretum is to establish a permanent collection of plants for education, research, conservation and beautification. All walkers, runners, dogs, bicyclists, skate boarders, wheelchairs, and baby strollers are welcome!
