The goals and objectives of the Muscle Shoals Parks and Recreation Department are to provide the citizens of Muscle Shoals with an opportunity to enjoy quality leisure time experiences. Our desires are to provide programs and activities for all ages of the community, to make sure that the programs are properly organized, to make sure that the rules are appropriate for each age group, and to make sure that our programs are based upon participation and that everyone deserves the chance or the right to play.
Also, it is our desire to provide the safest playing facilities possible for our participants. Our department has a full time maintenance staff which is constantly checking and monitoring our facilities. Our facilities have received numerous compliments and many people recognize our facilities as the best groomed facilities in Northwest Alabama.
