Musicology Performance Center is a very different type of music school. From our very inception our mission was crystal clear. We create an environment for aspiring musicians to learn to excel at their instrument of choice in a fun performance based environment. Our students don’t simply learn how to play an instrument. They learn music theory, technique, improvisational skills…. and most importantly they learn what it takes to be a musician.

I have two children that go to Musicology. My 10 year old son plays drums and after a few weeks of classes, his playing completely transformed to where he can play just about any song by ear. Musicology encourages learning multiple genres of music - rock, jazz, classical- to develop a wide variety of skills. My children also participate in the Kid Rock performance program which gives them a fantastic opportunity to play multiple instruments and practice with their peers to ultimately perform at a professional venue where they feel like rock stars! The instructors are so patient and encourage variety and creativity. My kids just love being at Musicology and I cannot say enough about this amazing school. I highly recommend it!!
Patrick has a complete musical learning establishment that caters to all types of musicians. He is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and takes a great interest in teaching music to his clients. I was recently at a fundraiser and the band that was playing were all Musicology grads. Everyone was impressed to say the least.
When I walked into Musicology Performance I was immediately impressed with the professional and friendly attitude. The facility is equipped with the latest technology. The instructors are all highly qualified. Not only the instructors but all the staff are welcoming, enthusiastic and engaging with the students. My child is thrilled to be taking vocal lessons here....But the best part is for her is rehearsal night for Modern Rock v. Classic Rock. Not only does she get to rehearse on a professional stage, she gets to hang out with all her new musician friends. If you are looking for lessons for your child or a music experience for your kids. This is the place! I highly recommend Musicology Performance!
My son has been taking drum lessons here for the past 4 months. He loves it!!The staff is amazing...so patient & encouraging!! Extremely nice & accommodating. They treat all their students like family! They are incredibly talented & skilled at their craft! You are in great hands at this studio! If you want to learn an instrument, & have lot's of fun too, this is the place to be!!Best music studio on Long Island by far!! I highly recommend it!!!!!
Musicology is a special place. Not only are the instructors talented and effective, but the camaraderie among and support for all the students is palpable. Students of all ages, ability levels, and potential are welcomed and nurtured. Who would have thought it was possible to build a music school that is effective at fostering musical skill but also helping kids be better people? We are lucky to have our kids be a part of it.
Friendly staff and talented teachers make this a great place to learn how to play an instrument. For kids Musicology is like a second home. With comfortable couches and room for kids to collaborate, rehearse or relax when not on stage it is no wonder why they love being there. On rehearsal nights the kids order pizza or Chinese and eat together and work on songs geared for their performances which occur about three times a year. All around a great place.
Musicology rocks! After taking a break from music for a few months we joined Musicology. This place has such a great vibe. The kids here are so talented and the staff is amazing. I can't wait for the first show!
This school and the staff are fantastic.... All the instructors are super talented, friendly and go over and beyond for their students. It's refreshing to see a business truly care about their students and their clients. And to boot their pricing is much more affordable and fair.... This is place to be...
