Mustafa Center

About

Mosque & Community Center. We are an open masjid and we would like everyone to feel welcome at the Mustafa Center.
Mustafa Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Tax ID: 38-4061734.

Description

The 7,800 square feet land where the Mustafa Center is located used to be an abandoned property, frequented by those afflicted with the disease of drug addiction and drinking. But Allah (swt) planned for this place to be purified and, by His grace and the tireless efforts of the community, in 1995 this piece of land was purchased for the noble purpose of building a house of worship of Allah (swt).

After many challenges and obstacles were overcome, construction began in September 1997. Within two years, the Mustafa Center was officially opened (November 1999). The total cost of the land and construction was well over a a million dollars. With your help, Alhamdulilah, the debt that the Center owed was completely paid off during the blessed month of Ramadan in 2004. We would like to thank all of our brothers and sisters for their generous donations to the Masjid.

About The Mustafa Center The Mustafa Center, named after Al-Mustafa, the Chosen One, one of the titles of our beloved Prophet Muhammad pbuh, was established by the Afghan Academy with the support of the local Muslim community. The 7,800 square feet land where the Mustafa Center is located used to be an abandoned property, frequented by those afflicted with the disease of drug addiction and drinking. But Allah swt planned for this place to be purified and, by His grace and the tireless efforts of the community, in 1995 this piece of land was purchased for the noble purpose of building a house of worship of Allah swt.

Stunning architecture. With welcoming brothers
Please keep the mosque clean. Bathrooms needs attention. Trash all over the place. Smell is bad. Why? Very disappointed.

Great atmosphere. Great management. Clean bathrooms. Great space and very nice space for women.
The masjid itself is a nice masjid. However one of the board old guy who is responsible for closing the masjid after isha is terrible guy and has bad manners, he is very rude. I am pregnant and was there to pray isha, I HAD to use the restroom after isha prayer, when I came out of the restroom, he was setting outside with his legs crossed and told me in a very very rude way we where going to close the masjid but we were waiting for you. I wasn’t even late, the isha starts at 7 and I was there until 7:30 , he was mad like I was there for hours, if a girl had to use the restroom, they should wait for her, she is not playing around in the restroom, specially if she is pregnant!!! I am very disappointed in this guy, he works at the masjid and he is being rude to people, he should be an example of a good manner not rude.
We hired an Imam to do a simple Nikkah ceremony. The Imam answered a phone call that was definitely not an emergency call in the middle of the ceremony and proceeded to have a conversation. He continued the ceremony only to interrupt it once more to answer text messages. I wouldn’t recommend using there services. Look elsewhere, there are plenty of options.
Always present to see my brothers and sisters in Islam another location
