Great trail head. Such an iconic Akron location with so much history. The locks are flowing and and the trees are beginning to turn color. Make this trail head a stop and sight see fit a bit.
Mustill Store/House is a visitor center and museum on the Ohio&Erie Canal Towpath. A good starting point to continue on the towpath to see locks number 3, 2, 1.
Nice trail with some wildlife and old locks
The Volunteer did the most AMAZING job explaing, pointing out and showing us the history and important facts and his favorite thing's that were Wonderful, the Tour was well worth it! I have Been Wanting and Waiting for the store to be open to go in, and with the time, explanation, knowledge, help, Guidance and friendliness of the Volunteer it made the Short tour Well Worth it!
It was marvelous to stand in such an historic spot! I loved the photos showing the days when it was a busy stop during the heyday of the canal. Mike was especially knowledgeable volunteer and I can't wait to go back and buy some books from the store about area history.
Fantastic part of Akron's history with beautiful views of the river. Great historical plaques to explain its place in context.
Enjoyed our walk. The scenery was nice. Loved the bridge and waterfall. Nice clean restrooms.
Easy access to the Towpath.
I enjoy the trails walking with my dog Smokey
Very nice history lesson. Will be back when opened up after this virus mess.
