Since this has not had a review in some time, I think it's deserving of something more current just for everyone's awareness. I will try to be fair and brief. I have been a member here for about three years and it is not my first gym. I have worked out in large and small gyms, dirt cheap and high-end. I am giving this gym three stars because that's what it is: A middle of the road kind of place. On the positive, the new owners? are fantastic and attentive to the membership. The floor and equipment are clean and fairly organized; the machines and free weights are in excellent condition as well. There's a decent enough selection that you can get in a good workout with some room for variety. The price point is competitive enough with other options in the area. On the negative, please be aware that the gym is now half the size that it once was because the adjacent corner unit was sold and turned into a dental office. A lot of good equipment had to be removed to save space; this also means that even though there isn't normally a lot of people working out, it only takes a few to get crowded. Lastly, and neither pro/con, the clientele that are usually present are definitely on the younger side as the gym is located next to a junior highschool and a large residential neighborhood. There can be a lot of talking and monopolizing of the equipment at peak times, but you'll find this about anywhere. I went in today to work out and the card reader would not open the door so no one could train today and I will say that is probably what motivated me to go ahead and write this, but after taking some time to get over this frustration and considering the entirety of my experience, I decided to go ahead and write anyway so that I could give a fair review. Overall it is a good gym and I think most people would be fairly satisfied.
It's clean, and open 24/7 to members. Has most everything you'd require. Never really that many people there. No creepers or meatheads, very few "gym bros". Everyone I've encountered has been polite, they move out of your way when trying to get to weights or machines, they clean up after they use equipment. They don't talk or interrupt your routine. I typically go outside of business hours, so no interaction with staff, I assume they're helpful.
I really cant say howthe facility compares to others. Leas than 10 minutes ago, I visited this location to seek information as a potential customer. The general manager did not seem to enthusiastic about acquiring a potential new customer as I was did not make it 3 feet into the facility. I had hoped to discuss what packages were available and possibly have been able to tour the facilty, yet i was only given pricing information. In essence, if this was their best at rendering customer service, I can only assume that their success is due to the lack of competition in this rural community.
I love this gym. It's affordable, and very rarely crowded. If you work night shift like I do, coming in here after hours is like having the place all to yourself.
Nice lil gym,all equipment is top quality,pricey yes,but very convenient for local residents which the other closest gym is 15 miles away.
This gym is clean and it is so close to the house. The might not be huge but they get the job done
Been a member for a while, it is a good place to workout, great staff always willing to help, and the people who workout here are easy going and easy to get along with.
I was sad there were no heavy bags or at the very least a speedbag or double end ': But still a clean, decent gym for it's area!
