I have been a patient of Dr. Defay for 10+ years and can say with confidence that she is a fantastic dentist. The office itself is small but always clean and well-ordered and as a result is immediately comfortable to be in. The staff have been there for years and are excellent at communication and are very helpful to speak to. Dr. Defay herself is always professional, courteous, and excellent at what she does. She does an excellent job at prioritizing health concerns with her patients and helping them make informed decisions. Her integrity is without question and I would highly recommend.

The office runs on time; I have never had to wait past my appointment time to be seen. If you are looking for an excellent dentist with an efficient and professional staff, I highly recommend Dr Defay. Dr Defay has been our family dentist for many years. My wife and I have children that have grown to adulthood visiting this practice. When we moved to the Merced area over 20 years ago, we tried three other dentists before we found Dr Defay’s office. We are not willing to settle on core principles. We expect honesty, professionalism and punctuality as well as quality dental care. To us, quality dental care is measured by preventative care that helps to minimize complications where possible and efficiently addresses problems that arise in a consultative manner, resulting in sound long-term resolutions. Without fail this is what Dr Defay's office delivers. My wife and I both have graduate degrees. We do not subscribe to self-diagnosis via the internet and do not have any medical, social or other agendas associated with our dental care. Dr. Defay and her staff maintain the high medical ethics and professional standards that my wife and I expect. We are very grateful to Dr Defay and her staff.

To prevent harm to your family don't go thay cut my 80 yr old mothers lip while taking exray an she is not licensed to prescribe pain medication her words not mine I felt like punching them I took her to western dental to get her tooth fixed that were great

Dr. Myriam Defay is a great dentist. We have been her patients for years and we would always recommend her. She is also amazing with kids. She explains to them what is going to happen and asks them to raise their hands if it hurts. She is always very calm. My 12-year-old daughter gets very nervous about her dentist appointments. After her most recent visit she said: "I don't like going to the dentist, but Dr. Defay is very gentle and kind and she makes me feel comfortable. I really like her".

I went to Dr. Defay 2 weeks ago for an emergency appointment because my gums were swollen in between 2 of my teeth and they were able to get me in as a first time patient super quickly. I love that Dr. Defay was super helpful and explained everything out to me and made sure that I would spend the least amount of money out of pocket. I have another appointment in July to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I definitely wouldn't trust anyone else. I'm so glad to have found Dr. Defay because she makes me feel at ease when typically I have a ton of anxiety about going to the dentist. Definitely recommend :

She really is the NO PAIN dentist! I am again floored by my second visit and how pleased I am with the results. Dr. Defay is everything I could hope for. She is kind, empathetic, and excellent at her work. Her love for modern technology is refreshing, because she insists on using only the latest and greatest materials and equipment to ensure that her patients get results they are happy with. I have been to other dentists who don't care, and do unnecessary work to just pocket the money. Not Dr. Defay, she is honest, helpful, and a very good communicator of procedure and cost. I've been going to Dr. Defay for over 5 years now, and she's simply the best dentist I've ever known. I'm pretty careful when choosing my medical professionals, and I've found Dr. Defay, to be courteous, kind, and very caring. I've had crowns, fillings, and cleanings by her office, and I've never had any problems. I highly recommend this Dentist if you want a great dentist.

Pathetic excuse for a dental office they should be shut down they’re so into money and shoving so many new patients in that they let the existing patients fall through the cracks when a child has a cavity it’s not good to wait a long period of time because the cavity spreads and there’s also a blood disease that could stop their heart from mouth infection they let those things go because they need to shove more patients in there it’s all about the money with them. I also filed a claim against this company with the dental board not to mention the office girls RUDE all I could say is I’ll never go there again beware

I scheduled in January 2022 for my children's 1st time appointments, to be seen in April 2022. Then they lied and said I did a last minute cancelation for a February appointment that we never had. I thought it was odd that they lied, but I dismissed it. I had all my children still scheduled since they are due a cleaning. Then they removed two and later added them on. When I called in to clarify, a lady named maria was very Rude with me and when I asked if the Office manager can contact me, she answered that they don't have time for that, and had a fit and yelled at me and told me not bring them in and hung up on me. To prevent any harm or stress to your family don't work with this dental group.
