My 12 year old son just completed a week of summer camp here at Mystic Canyon Stable and he loved it! He'd come home each day and talk nearly non-stop until bedtime about everything he'd done and learned and what had happened that day. For summer camp, each student has a helper a more experienced teen, so it's one-on-one instruction. Both Western and English riding are covered, plus the kids get to help with typical stable duties - learning about feed, supplements, how to clean tack, groom a horse, mucking the arena, and feeding/petting the critters chickens, rabbit, guinea pigs, cats, etc.. The kids also learned about native plants in the area, lassoing, what a farrier does with demo, and just a slew of stuff. The kids were a wide variety of ages, both boys and girls, and it just seemed like a ton of fun was had, plus learning to boot!
For all most three years I have been going to this stable and it’s so much fun the people are amazing I have made so many memories and friends
I have been riding at this barn for 4 years and I absolutely love it here. The people are amazing! The barn is a great place to make friends. Tiffany is an amazing professional instructor! She has taught me so many life lessons. Everyone here feels like family!
If you are an adult who would like to learn horseback riding, do NOT go here. You will be trained by teenagers who spend more time arguing with each other than teaching you. Tiffany seems like a nice person, but she isn’t aware of how unprofessional her business really is. During my first lesson, I was told by my teenage instructor that I was riding a horse the stable had barely owned for 1 week and that the saddle I was on didn’t actually fit the horse properly. Today, during my second lesson, my experience on the trail was incredible, but the lesson in the stable was miserable. My teenage instructor told me that she really only knew English style although I paid for Western. That would mean my 1st lesson was also English style which I did not ask for. I will never return to Mystic Canyon Stable.
Mystic Canyon Stables have been in our life for a few years now. My daughter has done a week of summer camp there and loved her experience. Tiffany runs a great program and has a real passion for teaching and riding. We always feel welcome there.
This is a place with an immense number of excellent ponies. The owner does an excellent job all teaching little girls how to ride and take care of horses.
Great place to learn a little bit about riding horses. Tiffany really cares about her students and animals.
Amazing place to bring your kids to learn how to ride.
Pretty cool little set up
