I started Mystic Christian Art in 2015. I am a self taught painter. I began painting after a life changing experience. I find inspiration for my artwork through my faith, daily mediation, nature, and music.
Each piece is an attempt to create an image that expresses the nature of reality as I see it. My intent is for each piece to provoke a positive space for thought and prayer. Each piece is an original, not a print.
My work generally falls into two categories; acrylic or watercolor and ink. I am currently working much more with the watercolor and ink techniques.
I am a Postulant for Holy Orders in the Episcopal Church, which is a fancy way of saying I am going off to seminary to study and one day will (hopefully) be ordained a Priest. I am married to a wonderful woman and have 2 sons and 1 granddaughter. I am a cradle Episcopalian that tends to lean much more into progressive theology and mystic or experiential religious theology.
Not sure what else to say but I have read a bunch of articles about how people buy art because of the artist not the artwork and how I will sell more art if I am "interesting". So look at me! Aren't I interesting and weird?! Yeah and buy some art, like seriously, my art isn't that expensive and it will give you something to look at other than you phone. I promise the money you spend will be used to help me along the way to my goals of the Priesthood!
